Nothing grew in the garden this year. Well, close enough to nothing for the amount that we planted.
2024 was a very wet Spring in Wisconsin. Our seeds that we planted were soaked so much that they were stunted and didn’t mature properly. Not only that, but the field was so muddy that we couldn’t get any equipment out to deal with the weeds.
We did get a few pepper plants and tomato plants, but considering we planted well over 1000 pumpkin seeds and about 500 cucumber seeds that’s nothing.
We ended up with 1 cucumber and 2 orange pumpkins.
I tried plowing one of the pumpkin fields a few weeks back, but it was still too wet in that field and I ended up just spinning and getting stuck. So now I get to fix that field before it sits like that all Winter. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to get equipment in there next Spring, so as long as I have a chance now I better take care of it.
