Title: Slow And Steady Wins The Race
Review: This is a great way to heat up a small to medium-sized room without the hassle of fan noise, but you can’t be spontaneous with it. Since it has no moving parts (besides the switches and knobs), it doesn’t have an especially fast way to move the heated air around the place. You won’t have to wait long, but if you’re used to more typical space heaters, you may wonder if it’s working at all. To put it in perspective, if I turn it on before going to bed, I’ll wake up a very toasty room by morning. I certainly won’t be waking up cold in the middle of the night. It takes a set-and-forget kind of mentality, which may or may not be the right methodology in that transitional period between fall and winter where the temperature can have trouble making up its mind, freezing one day and walking outside in a t-shirt and shorts the next. Overall, this works amazingly well for what it does, but you have to know what you’re getting into. If you can’t wait to get warm again, go for something with a fan.

Title: Delightfully surprised.
Review: I had a similar product that I purchased 25 years ago. It finally gave out and bit the dust. It was very reliable and low cost, used in my home office. When it no longer functioned, I bought a replacement heater on sale, thinking the original style was no longer manufactured. After using the new style for two years, my heating bill was too high, so I found the original oil-filled radiator style. Not knowing what to expect and paying too much for rent, I selected the PELONIS manufacturer.It’s a winner, easy to assemble, and easy to use. We’ve had more than cool nights, and this one can be set to several low temperatures to suit my needs well. I’m confident it will keep me warm in my bedroom, too. I have no ceiling heat in my bedroom. I know I’ll be happy with this well-priced product!

Title: It’s kinda magic-really heats the area
Review: My furnace has about one more year left before I replace it. In case the furnace goes out when it’s bitterly cold, I got this since it had good reviews. It really warms a room. The first time I used it, it seemed to take a really long time to warm up, but since then it heats up pretty rapidly. I’m turning on my furnace in the morning to heat the house and then turning it way down and using this heater exclusively. It really heats a single room well. The furnace stays off because somehow this heater magically spreads heat through two rooms all the way to the thermostat. I haven’t gotten my electric bill yet. I will try to remember to come back when I get it to see how it compares to last year. Either way, I will continue to use this because the natural gas bill was horrifying last year.

Title: Good for Smaller rooms
Review: First of all, I seriously doubt this is a 1500w capable heater. At 120v, that would require a draw of 12.5A. The power cord on this heater is 16 gauge which can only safely carry about 10 amps, and there isn’t significant heat rise at the plug or across the cable like you’d expect for an undersized cord. So at most this heater is drawing 1200w, and even though oil filled heaters are very efficient, you can expect at least 1% losses, so it’s likely putting out at most 1188w of thermal energy.So if you accept that you’re getting an 1188w heater, let me tell you why you should buy this for a smaller room of 200sqft or less: it’s a great value. You won’t find a heater with this output at this price point on short notice. The construction is solid. There’s nothing janky or ill fitting on this. The analog controls are intuitive. (Much better than the digital controls on most of these kinds of heaters.) Lastly, it does work. I use this in my 240 sqft office with a high ceiling, and it takes the chill out of the air, supplementing my HVAC system. In a smaller room, it would do the job alone.The one complaint I do have is something common to a lot of products made in China – it puts off a bit of a smell for about the first week you use it. This unknown substance that smell vaguely like coal ash and machine oil – known as “Chinesium” – will eventually go away, but it’s always a good idea to wipe such products down with a good cleaner to avoid it to begin with.

Title: Perfect extra warmth
Review: This is the fourth Pelonis space heater I have purchased in the past 20 years, and it is the best one yet. Why? Because it is smaller, lighter, and prettier than all the others. Yet it gives off incredible warmth within just a few minutes of turning it on. One newer feature of this Pelonis is 4 wheels instead of 2, making it much easier to move around the house. The shiny black surface makes it look more like a little piece of furniture instead of a clumsy appliance. As for the other 3 Pelonis space heaters I have, they are all still working beautifully! That is why I trusted buying another one!

Review: Rotary controls, 3 power settings, a smooth adjustable thermostat, a neon orange indicator, cord wrap, and wheels. Adding or removing anything would diminish it.Fortunately, it does not actually glow yellow as shown in the pictures. Steel needs to be over 1000 degrees C to glow yellow.
