Title: Works better than expected!
Review: This is a 20 volt battery powered cordless electric snow shovel, from Vivohome. It includes one battery and a charger for it. It was easy to attach the handle and it was ready to go. It feels like it has decent build quality and only weighs about 10 lbs. As it happens, we got a couple of inches of heavy, wet snow just a few days after it arrived, so I got to try it out pretty quickly. The truth is I’m accustomed to winter and accustomed to using a really big snowblower and didn’t think a little electric shovel would do much, but I ended up being quite impressed. As you can see from my picture, it cleared the heavy, wet snow all the way down to the pavement, with no trouble. I did my front porch, walkway, and a strip down my driveway in no time, and the battery still registered as full. I’m sure I could’ve done a few more strips of the driveway, and possibly even the whole width, although that wasn’t what I got this for. I got this for the front porch, walkway, back porch, patio, and deck, and this little electric shovel did an impressive job on all of them. We haven’t gotten any more snow yet, but when we do I’ll be ready!

Title: A great idea and concept, but they have a long way to go before they get it right.
Review: We live in the mid-west, and over the recent year or two, my abilty to be mobile has increasingly deteriorated. I have a degenerative joint condition which makes it very difficult to stand, sit, bend my knees or back, or complete any activity for more than a few minutes before the pain hits.As we enter the winter months I getting a little worried about how I would be able to clear the snow from the front pavement. So we began looking for options, when this idea came to us.We ordered one and it arrived very quickly indeed! Most of it is plastic except the handle, which seems like a thick grade of aluminum. So the whole thing is pretty lightweigt and the task is made even more easy, by the addtion of a second handle to distribute the weight load. Very nice indeed. BUT….Being made mainly from plastic, and depsite their claims, our main concern is that plastic does tend to become more brittle in the cold and the blades that spin are only made from plastic too!So, what happens if we were to hit someting hard like a stone or, a frozen lump of ice and the blades get chewed up or even broken?Do they warrant against this or even sell replacement blades? I feel sure that if you are clearing snow off of your concrete drive, surely this must wear those plastic blades down pretty rapidly? I mean, they even put a metal edge for the same reason, on hand-held pastic shovels, so why would they not do that for a battery powered device that someone has paid over $100 for? Seems fairly logical, right? and yet, there are none. Also, they give no indication of just how long we should expect their ONE and only battery that comes with this, will last? Why would you only supply one battery for such a device? If they even do supply addtional batteries, just how much would that even cost and would it even be worth it in the end?I love the idea and concept of a battery powered device that can help me clear the snow. But from an engineering perspective, there are too many “gaps in the plot” for this to make any sense, really. I am just really sceptical about just how effective this device will be long term and just how long this would last – not to mention, the noticeably absent and minimal customer support for spares and service.
