Title: Amazon Basic is more than basic, It’s excellent
Review: I’m a huge fan of the Amazon Basics brand. I exclusively purchase all my kitchen essentials from them because they are not only affordable but also of top-notch quality. The toaster I bought from them has been an absolute game changer. It’s incredibly easy to clean with a removable bottom slot for quick rinsing. This toaster doesn’t mess around when it comes to toasting – it works much faster than other toasters I’ve used. While most toasters take around 3 minutes, this one only takes 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Its toasting capabilities are truly exceptional, especially considering its affordable price. I highly recommend this toaster to anyone living in an apartment or small space who wants to save money while still enjoying a delicious breakfast.

Title: I like everything about it except for…
Review: … like almost all toasters it only toasts one side perfectly leaving the other side slightly toasted so that you have to flip the piece around one more time and reduce the heat So that it’s properly toasted on both sides. Why these manufacturers can’t get that right is beyond me. If they could do it 60 years ago, it seems to me that they could do it right today, but isn’t that the way?! The price is right, but of course it’s not perfect. Four stars because without paying at least $200 for a toaster you’ll never get it right.

Title: 2nd times the charm…
Review: We ordered the Amazon Basics 2 Slice Extra Wide Slot Toaster to replace an aging toaster that had started to malfunction. The first Amazon Basics toaster we received had a defective mechanism that wouldn’t keep the bread down to toast.Our second attempt was much better, and the new toaster is working fine. We get good results on both the light and dark settings. Nice wide and long bread slots should accommodate just about anything that we’d want to toast. A no frills toaster that is priced right. 5 stars!

Title: Love This Toaster! Be Sure To Run 3 To 4 Empty Toast Cycles Before First Use As Instructed.
Review: I cook and bake extensively, all of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare. Our old toaster was on its last leg. Purchased this Amazon Basics 2 Slice Extra Wide Slot Toaster as a replacement. Love it! Everything about this toaster exceeded my expectations.- Very durable construction and 2 extra wide slots for thicker bread, bagels, or waffles. The black insulating material around the toaster really helps keep the sides of the toaster cooled when toasting.- Easy to use with 6 shade settings, a bagel setting, a frozen setting, and a cancel button. Crumb tray is easy to remove.- Does a spectacular job of toasting (Pic of a toasted slice of my homemade sourdough sandwich loaf bread attached.)Important Before First Use: Be certain to follow the “Before First Use” instructions in the Product Manual before toasting for the first time. (Pic attached.) You need to run the toaster empty for 1 cycle on shade 6, and 2 or 3 cycles on shade 4 (I did 3) to removed any residual manufacturing residue from the inside of the toaster. (This is normal for a new toaster.) As stated in the instructions, I -did- get a bit of smoke at the start of the first shade 6 cycle, nothing in other 3 cycles. So be sure to have the toaster in a well ventilated area when doing this prep, such as by an open window, or under a stove hood that is on and venting out.A terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product.

Title: Stopped working!!
Review: It stopped working after 15 days , another negative side I turned it on, a burning smell was coming from it.This toaster doesn’t cook evenly at all. The outer heating elements nearly burnt it, while the middle heating elements barely toasted the bread.

Title: Reliability at a low price
Review: Months later, the toaster still provides satisfactory toast. It consistently toasts the same brand of bread to the same degree of darkness.I withheld a 5-star rating because it produces varying shades of toast with different brands of bread, even if they look similar.My wife mentions that she can’t predict the toast’s darkness. She might have to go through several slices to dial in the right setting.While I don’t see an issue, the above takes into account my wife’s perspective. She would opt for a higher-priced, higher-quality toaster, although quality is not always assured.
