Title: Well thought out mixer, a refined version of the original Universal. Good for 10lbs of dough.
Review: I ordered this to compare to my vintage Bosch (the original version of this mixer) from the 70s. This is pretty similar to that old Bosch with the following improvements:-suction cup feet so the mixer doesn’t walk around (or off) the counter while kneading dough-a bowl with a lip to surround the lid ring (this prevents the lid from popping off on large batches)-the bowl edge is turned down like a little umbrella which gives improved gripping for transportThe motor of both the old and new is of similar power. I find it to bog down more than I prefer with large batches (above 7 lbs) of dough. I’ve made up to 5200g (11.2 lbs) of dough in this mixer and it will do it but it’s a strain on the motor. One other drawback (or advantage depending on how you prefer to proof your dough) is that this mixer really heats up the dough. It’ll go from 65 or 70F up to 110F in 7 minutes of kneading. I personally prefer to keep the dough at room temp. A work around is to add ice to the water to knock the temp down before hand. So, although I don’t like the heating, it’s something that can be dealt with.I will be returning the mixer and instead ordering a stainless bowl for my old Bosch mixer. I believe it may help with this heating issue. Additionally, it does away with the center column for a little more space for dough (about 200 additional grams). I ordered this mainly to compare and see if it was worth upgrading. I think the refinements are probably worth the price difference. But I instead am going to put that cost difference toward a stainless bowl and the drive/dough hook to match ($350 new just for this bowl and accessories!).I’d used a 1981 Kitchenaid by Hobart for years and although an excellent mixer, the Bosch is also good product with a proven long lifespan. The Bosch can make 2x the amount of dough and the lid system is a lot cleaner than the open bown of the Kitchenaid.I highly recommend ANY Bosch Universal Mixer!

Title: Best mixer around
Review: I cannot say enough good things about this mixer. The capacity is amazing and it can handle large quantities without missing a beat. It’s also low profile enough to sit out on the counter without feeling like it’s taking up a ton of valuable real estate. I also purchased some of the accessories and they all work well. I had a bowl-lift Kitchenaid before and I wish I had known about the Bosch before I got it. The Bosch is so much easier to use and can do larger batches without struggling like the Kitchenaid sometimes did. Worth every penny!

Title: Bosch Stand Mixer
Review: Purchased this for my husband who loves to make sourdough bread. Researched this product online and decided it would be a good purchase. Very expensive but definitely worth it. Does everything it says it does. Would definitely recommend this product.

Title: Great for kneading dough
Review: I got this because I make a lot of sourdough sandwich bread and it has to be kneaded for 10-15 minutes. This works great!! Iâve used it for cookies and itâs also good but just takes some getting used to since itâs not a typical bowl. This is very easy to clean as well!

Title: Lightweight but powerful
Review: We are in our 70s and needed a lighter weight mixer capable of kneading bread as well as normal mixing. An added benefit is the ease of adding flour etc while running the mixer. So far the only disadvantage is that it is not as easy to pour out mixes as from bowl mixers. We wish we had chosen stainless steel bowl because plastic is harder to keep completely grease free .

Title: Love,Love,LOVE
Review: I lOVE my new Bosch Plus Mixer. It’s like coming home. We had one we purchased in 79 and believe it or not it is still going strong at my son’s house. I thought I wanted a Kitchen Aid and we purchased a nice one several years ago. That is how my son inherited my Bosch. Oh fool me. He wouldn’t give it back and I can’t blame him. Over the years fresh bread disappeared in our house. How sad is that. The Kitchen Aid would struggle and just didn’t make good bread. It would also struggle with anything thick or heavy. Boy our new Bosch just breezes through. Not only do I have fresh bread, but my neighbors do too. I LOVE this machine and would recommend it to anyone who wants a new mixer. Dealing with Nutri Mill has been easy and smooth sailing I highly recommend them and would purchase from them again. Though with the first Bosch over 40 and still mixing I think my new one will outlive me. Yes, I think my son is looking at it. If you want a new mixer this one’s the bomb. Tracy Rees

Title: Works well for bread, not convenient for less dense recipes
Review: If you make a lot of bread or heavy consistency recipes like sugar cookies, it works great to mix ingredient well. My dislike is it is a large unit, so I do put it away in between uses instead of leaving it on the counter and it is difficult to scrape the bowel/beaters due to their unusual shape, so a lot of dough is left on them. Otherwise, the motor is amazing and powerful. I do not have the blender attachment, but I suspect it would work quite well. I also find it cumbersome to screw the lid on/off, but you need to use it less you get ingredients everywhere. Likely would not purchase again for the price point.
