Title: Fun and entertaining!
Review: This Christmas dance mat is such a fun find! My spouse and I gave it a try before letting the kids play, and we had an absolute blast. The mat stayed in place the whole time and felt really sturdy, even with all the movement. While our larger feet made it tricky to step on the correct circles, it’s clearly designed with little feet in mind! You can adjust the volume, which is great, and there are several games with different difficulty levels to keep things interesting. This mat is a perfect way to add some holiday cheer and active play to the season!

Title: Something to do
Review: I will not really get this out until closer to Christmas, but I stuck some batteries in it to try it out for a bit.  You will need to have 4 AA batteries because they are not included, but they do provide a small screwdriver.  When you first turn the game on it will allow you to select a language.  The buttons on the green plastic part light up and I kept trying to press those.  They are not actually buttons, however, they just show you which image you are supposed to press on the game mat.  This is how the games work as well.  When it wants you to step on certain images it will light them up on the green panel.  This takes some getting used to as you are trying to determine which image lights up then find it on the game mat quickly.  They are in the same order, so you can kind of tell by location, but it may still be confusing, especially to younger children.  There are a couple modes that just turn the mat into a music making board.  You can step on anything you want to create your own noises.  There are a couple challenge modes where it will play music as it lights up and you quickly try to step on the correct images.  They really missed their chance to have this play Christmas music though!  The last mode is a memory mode which will keep adding a new image to step on each round to see how many you can remember.  I found it a bit difficult to figure out where to step between light cues on the challenge modes.  I think you can step on the image in the center and move from there, but it frequently marked me as hitting the incorrect image before I had a chance to get the right one.  I tried stepping off the board, between cues but then it is difficult to get to the correct image.  Maybe I am just too old and uncoordinated to be the target audience here.  The children may have much better luck than I did.  Also, there could just be a learning curve here that I didn’t allow myself time to figure out.  I will know more when we get this out to play with.  I think this would be a fun option to have around when you have a bunch of kids present.  It could be used as an activity during a holiday party.  I am not sure how much use this will actually get on a day to day basis though.  I do like to have different holiday themed toys and games around during the Christmas season, so this fits that bill.  I do wish it would have incorporated Christmas music though.  I think it is fun to have it around, but I am not sure I would recommend it for the price it is listed at.
