Two things I’m obsessed with are food being the wrong size (giant or tiny, I love it!) and soft pretzels. So when I saw that Costco has a huge Bavarian-style pretzel in stock, I hopped in the car right away and headed to my local store.
I didn’t have a special occasion to warrant needing giant soft pretzels—though these would be perfect for a family gathering, for feeding a little league or soccer team, or for a fun game night. Here’s why you need to follow my lead and head to Costco right away for the Brauhaus Bavarian Pretzels now at Costco.
Brauhaus Frozen Giant Pretzels
- Price: $11.49
- Why I Love Them: These pretzels are seriously massive. Once baked, they’re crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. They’d be perfect for parties or family game night.

What You Need To Know About Costco’s Giant Pretzels
Turns out the box of Brauhaus brand pretzels actually has not just one, but two 24-ounce pretzels as well as pretzel salt for each for $11.49. If by any chance, you’re like “Meghan, who would pay almost $12 for just two pretzels?!” Let me try to describe to you how huge these pretzels actually are.
The back-of-the-box directions ask you to thaw the pretzels overnight—they are found in the freezer section at Costco—and fitting the box of pretzels in my fridge required rearranging several shelves. Once thawed, you heat the oven to 350°F and move each pretzel to a baking sheet—yes, each pretzel requires its own 18 by 13-inch half sheet pan!
You’ll brush each pretzel with water and then sprinkle on the salt before baking for about 20 minutes. The back of the box also includes air fryer directions, if you’ve got a large enough air fryer to accommodate a 9×13-inch pretzel!

How Costco’s Giant Pretzels Taste
Out of the oven, these pretzels are incredibly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. You can serve them simply with mustard or cheese dip, and they are big enough to serve a crowd (the suggested serving size is 1/12 of the pretzel). I didn’t even have a serving platter big enough to hold the baked pretzels.
Brauhaus suggests turning them into a sandwich by slicing around the hemisphere so you can pile on your favorite toppings. My family often enjoys what we call pretzel dinner: soft pretzels, sausage, sauerkraut, sliced apples, and sometimes cheese. I can’t wait to grab more of these so we can rinse and repeat that family-favorite dinner.
