Review: Received this for Father’s Day. Works great, easy to use and lock. There is a tension screw on the opposite side of the lock. The factory adjustment was fine. Loosened all the way the fingers didn’t slide around freely but are far more susceptible to bumps and movement unless you lock it down using the lock (which you should be doing anyway). Recommend just leaving it at factory unless you’re having a hard time. Consider too that the more its tensioned, the less farther the locking slider will actually move when you lock it.Looks like there is a hanging loop on the end where the tension screw is at so you can attach a string.Resolution is fine enough for me however it’s noted that the fingers are 0.05″ wide and I measured them at 0.0640″. This is a small difference and frankly if you need a tighter resolution a more specialized (and expensive) gauge is probably suitable. For the cost value here can’t beat it.Be warned though that there is a similar product that allows the two gauges to be attached, this is not that product (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YM7BPH1). It looks like there is an additional bracket that needs to be installed on the 10″ gauge, and given the end design of these gauges here I’m not sure that bracket could even be installed. Can’t say much because I don’t have that version; don’t have too much need for the 15″ anyway.
