Title: Get this model
Review: As an engineer by profession my opinion of this version, with an open top and bottom, is superior to the versions with flat perforated holes as the design allows for more free convection air flow across the vanes. What this translates to is faster heating of a room. Im able to keep warm a 700 square foot area in about an hour. Mind you that I keep at 70 degrees and live in the Bay Area of California and outside temperatures do not go below freezing. I was also impressed with the control systems on this series of heaters. The calibration is a little bit off but all you have to do is adjust slightly higher and the heater will maintain the temperature of the area (actually the unit minus internal offset). This being an oil heater means no fan noise. The creaks and snaps of the metal expanding and contracting during heat cycles and are just part of the design and would be expected. A+ on the overall design.

Title: Just get it
Review: How did I wait so long to purchase one of these heaters. I live alone, in PA, with electric baseboard heatingâ¦.I’ve spent the past 5 winters hardly heating my old home because it would cost $1000 or more and I cannot afford that. But Iâd been hearing over and over that these oil filled heaters are the best and they are. I am so thrilled with this. Worth every penny. Heats up immediately. Keeps room warm. Silent. Remote control is fine. Have to really push the buttons though. Wheels are great. Overall, so happy.

Title: NEVER TURNED OFF
Review: I bought this heater for my bird and I intended to only run it for 1 hour a day.At night i set the timer for 1 hour and go to bed. The heater has worked as intended for the first 4 days.On the 5th night. It NEVER TURNED OFF. I woke up to my bird panting in his room with 105 degrees. The timer STILL SAYS 1hr on it.Garbage, literally a saftey hazard.
