Title: Excellent Induction cooktop
Review: The NuWave PIC Double Induction Cooktop is very versatile as a supplemental cooking appliance or even as the primary unit (for maybe up to 3 people). It has all the advantages of any induction cooktop, i.e. efficient use of energy (by heating the pot or pan directly rather than a countertop as in a conventional electric stove), easy to clean, fast heating and cooling, temperature and power control, etc.This NuWave PIC Double unit specifically outshines other induction cooktops in several ways :- It has one of the largest heating coils in the market (8 inch diameter)- It has two identical burners that can be used simultaneously- It has a maximum power output of 1800 W (down selectable to 900 W)- It has a very large number of temperature settings (5 degree F steps)- It has an excellent capability for programming a temp/time profile for a complete cooking session, including delays for adding ingredients- It has 50 pre-programmed and up to another 50 user programmable profiles (or recipes) that are stored in non-volatile memory- It has a clock so users can either start or stop a cooking session at a pre-specified time- The overall layout, display panels are very pleasing and the unit is quite robust yet light enough to move it aroundIn my opinion, the only feature missing is the ability to automatically adjust the two burners’ power levels continuously while keeping the total power consumption at 1800 W (it currently switches to a fixed 900 W for both burners, regardless of the actually needed power levels).Also the NuWave customer support is very responsive to any pre-purchase question or concerns. I have not needed to contact them after the purchase yet.Overall the NuWave PIC Double Induction Cooktop is a great buy and an excellent product.

Review: I have just received this NuWave Double Cook-top. The digital controls are very well thought out, and ease of manually setting and using the Temp/Time controls is outstanding. I will be documenting all of my Dutch oven recipes and other general cooking menus for the NuWave cook-top. Another review will be loaded in 6 months from now.

Title: Very nice and easy to use
Review: I have been into induction cooking for over 15 years and have a regular induction stove at home. I also have a single burner in my camper van. Cooking with induction is very easy to do. It is the most energy-efficient way to cook on a stovetop, and it is more regulable than gas. You have to use induction-ready pots, but all that means is that a magnet can stick to their bottom. Cast iron like Lodge, enameled cast iron like La Crusset, most stainless steel, and anything with a magnetic disc work. You can find such cookware in various stores, from big boxes to high-end.I wanted a double-burner unit and chose this one. Nuwave is a well-known company, and this unit feels excellent. It has various controls, but I’ll likely only use a few. If you use one burner, it can go up to 1800 watts. If you use two burners simultaneously, the maximum each burner will use will be 900 watts, which still is quite a bit. This is due to the limitations of a standard home outlet which is only rated at 1800 watts.On my other induction devices, I usually pick a power level. This device uses temperature levels instead, but that does the same thing. You have six easy temperature level options but can use up and down arrows to select temperatures in between. This unit can do other things, like cooking in various stages. However, I don’t need that for my simple needs. Additionally, the magnetic rings on this unit are larger than most cheaper burners at 8″. You will see a smaller circle when you boil water, but that is because that circle is typically around 1/2 the diameter of the power ring (trivial fact).I’m the main cook for 4-5 adults, and I use up to two burners at a time. I could substitute this burner for my regular stove (sans the oven). Lastly it comes with a very nice quick start guide and a larger than usual recipe book. Very nice, indeed.

Review: Ima be quick it’s a nice replacement for a regular stove it heats up quick, maintains heat well, not that heavy (for me will probably be different for you), and worth it.Now there are a few issues one Is that I noticed a high pitch noise while it heats it is bearable just felt it should be noted, I’ve noticed it melting I have no idea what that’s about I’ll update on it, switch on back Is a lil inconvenient, and if you’re gonna put this in a counter good if now oof it’s big and hard to find a place for itAll on all I’d buy this again works well, easy to clean, just loud, melting, and big

Review: Bought this as a Christmas gift to use in a van being converted for traveling/camping. They like the size and used an enameled cast iron Dutch oven pot full of water to test speed for boiling… 3 1/2 minutes!

Title: Replacement for an older single NewWave
Review: I am 71 and single and never use my oven except on special occasions for a ham or turkey. I have owned a single burner NewWave induction cook top for the last 6 years and used it every day. It sat on top of my glass electric cooktop which I used rarely. After the years of use the buttons on the front of the unit were push buttons with a plastic cover over each on and over the years they started to crack became hard to clean. I like cooking two different things at the same time so when this went on sale I bought it and glad I did. Sleek looking and all the controls are a touch glass so I won’t have the same problem I had with the other one and the fan noise is drastically reduced even with both burners running.I know I’ll never use all the programming this thing has but it works great and is so much much more stylish and easy to clean.
