Title: Worth it
Review: I’m using this guy as my primary vacuum on a single floor. I don’t know how much floor we’re talking about here but 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen and living room with a dining area between them. Floors are a mix of some laminated wood, vinyl, carpet, and some rugs spread about. So day 1. It took 3 times to get my floor plan. The first time the vacuum just kind of gave up on finding the charger. Second time it got stuck on a carpet. Third time, no issues, and there hasn’t been one since. I think it’s possible that the extreme amount of dirt on the floor may have been the issue. I’ve been without a vacuum for a while now, and over the last few days this guy has picked up at least a fully bunny worth of dust bunnies. It has easily picked up more garbage than its actual size. This means lots of having to empty the bin. One thing that sucks is that the vacuum doesn’t tell you if the bin is full, at least not before it’s so full that it can’t shove more stuff into it. Eventually you’ll get a low airflow warning but by then the bin is already packed. Luckily the bin is easy to remove, empty, and replace, and if you drop any dust the vacuum will just pick it back up! The brush get hair and such caught to it, but is very easy to remove for cleaning. The vacuum comes with a tool that has a razor to help cut the hairs, but it doesn’t work well, not sure why. Regardless maintenance is very easy. Just keep an eye on that dust bin, it will fill quickly if you’re not vacuuming often. The vacuum has a mop, and it does mop. I mean it’s not great, but it exists. The problem isn’t the unit or the mop, it’s just how mopping works. You know how sometimes you have to mop the same spot 5, 10, 20 times? The vacuum has to do the same thing, but it only covers the spot once per run because it doesn’t have an eye for dirty floors. Nothing wrong with this. It’s a nice addition and should be seen as such, and again, it does work for maintenance. There may also be a way to make it spin in circles over the area, but I havenât tried this, guess thatâs something to explore while on lockdown due to the virus. The app is easy to set up and use and the mapping is awesome. I’ve used no tutorials and figured out how to make no mop zones. It was easy, I just moved furniture around to figure out where the sides of the rugs were. That’s another thing, the vacuum adjusts to furniture moving. Even if it mapped out the furniture it’ll map it back out after it’s moved, cleaning without issue. This means something like my office where I may or may not be, and where my chair may be anywhere, gets a good cleaning. You can also send the vacuum to any specific room you want (or group of rooms), and designating rooms after it generates the map is easy. It did a good job at guessing the room layout to begin with, so not much adjusting necessary.Iâd say itâs worth getting. It does as good of a job as I do while vacuuming; suction isnât an issue. The biggest problems youâre likely to face are making sure the bin isnât full (which again once youâve done your initial run isnât much of a problem) and making sure it doesnât try to destroy your house by grabbing low hanging stuff like a cloth covering furniture or something. Totally picks up pet hair, moves around with no real issue, itâs exactly what Iâd hoped a robot vacuum could be. If I could change anything it would be to have the ability to set custom voices/sounds whenever it wants to say anything. It does have multiple voice packs, but Iâd like to set my own voice rather than choose between different languages, and a few fun ones. The app downloads the voices so this should be possible. Also the app pushes notifications to you which is nice.Anyway, worth it. Just need to find the correct googly-eyes to go with it.

Title: So much better than the competition
Review: If you’re in the fence about buying this vacuum, just buy it. It’s worth it.My wife and I already had another brand of robot vacuum, albeit one of their lower-end models and weren’t thrilled about it. It binked around each room cleaning the best it could and more often than not got hung up or trapped so,ew here and we’d have to go around the house trying to find it. It was nice when it worked as intended, and that wasnât very often. We decided it wasnât even worth the hassle and decided to shelve it, and were debating whether to get another robot vacuum or just give up on the idea entirely. Then we happen to see a YouTube review of this particular vacuum. It got a glowing review, and had few, if any, drawbacks. We were skeptical, but decided we would just send the vacuum back if it didnât live up to our expectations and maybe revisit the idea of a robot vacuum somewhere down the line. So we ordered this one and gave it a try. Man, am I glad that we did. The stuff that we heard about this vacuum isnât just hype. This vacuum is the real deal. It does everything we need it to do and we rarely have to mess with anything having to do with it other than emptying out its container every day or two. The only thing that would make this vacuum perfect is if it emptied itself, other than that, it does it all. It has a lidar (laser) scanner that it uses for room mapping and navigating. itâs a game changer. You can use your digital assistant or the app to tell it to clean a specific room of the house or even a specific location in between rooms. You can set a schedule so that it can vacuum rooms or areas in a specific sequence, and on certain days if you like. Thereâs a lot of flexibility. Once it has a map of the house it doesnât just bink around trying to find itâs way. If itâs going to a room, it just goes there. And it cleans in a really efficient z-pattern once it is there, which saves time and battery life. When itâs going back to the dock, it probably finds itâs way back 99.99% of the time. When it has a low battery, it will remember where it was, go recharge, and then resume cleaning. Itâs a smart little guy.We have dogs and cats, and therefore a lot of pet hair. Our other robot vacuumâs rollers would constantly get hair tangles in it that we would have to get out, and it sucked to do. Super tedious. Whatever roller technology this vacuum uses doesnât have this issues, and weâve only had to clean the roller a few times and it was rarely due to pet hair. It also has an air filter thatâs washable! This is an awesome, awesome vacuum, and my wife and I have never once regretted buying it. For our use case, Itâs fantastic in every way.

Review: I was looking for a robot that can really vacuum and mop well, and thought that is not possible. I had a Neato XV Signature Pro that vacuums well, and thought that could not be surpassed. I was wrong. Roborock S5 Max could do either or both vacuuming and mopping very well. The other features that one can use from the App is wonderful too. Bought a unit for my parents and might buy one for my in-laws. “The Rock” is now our BFF!
