Title: Works great to block light and reduce street noise
Review: I have to say I tried three curtains (returned two) from this vendor to find the perfect one that fits. The returns have nothing to do with the curtains, but because of my inexperience of choosing the right one. It’s great the vendor offers free returns. I would think if there were more suggestions of how to choose the different products from this vendor, the number of returns could be reduced.The quality of the curtain is top-notch.

Title: nice looking, heavy curtains
Review: I gave this 4 stars because of two things 1) of course they don’t block all the sound and we get a lot of noise from a freeway, but every little bit helps (I would do 3 stars on sound blocking), and 2) of course the light gets through the top, but I expected that and will hang curtain scarves over the top later (5 stars on light blocking).The price was reasonable as the product seems well made (5 stars). It has two options for the curtain rod, either a pocket or tabs, which would change how they drape. I used the tabs because they’re very heavy and it seemed like it would be easier to open and close. If you want to keep them closed all the time, maybe use the rod pocket.For appearance – I got the grey ones at first but returned them because they were wrinkly and the picture looked like it would have a sheen and it did not, so it was too much like hanging a blanket -it didn’t add to the space. My husband had gotten the linen ones in his office and those looked much better – so I ordered those for the bedroom and our TV room, too. I would highly recommend the linen ones on appearance alone.

Title: good curtain. Does have sound-proofing effect
Review: It really works! before I was really hesitated about buying this, but after receiving it today I am really happy. It does a decent job for the soundproof. I mean you cant expect a curtain to block out 100% sound, but it definitely lower the sound. I am really satisfied.

Title: They work okay
Review: These curtains are very heavy and they fit nicely. By no means are they sound proof. They are sound muffling but no where near sound proof. I have them going from the main house to my basement apartment hoping to drown out the noise from upstairs. They work okay. They work better than not having anything at all but I think any thick curtain would do the same thing for less money. If you need them for light blocking then they would be great but even then, I paid $20 for the pair that are in my bedroom and no light gets through those.

Title: I bought this an sound dampening cover!
Review: The apartment building we live in is currently jackhammering in the garage. It’s too loud for our 1-month-old son. I placed the curtains over his crib, which lowered the noise by 14 decibels! (It would have reduced the noise by more if I completely enclosed the crib. However, that would be dangerous. We still need to be able to see him and have adequate air circulation). I will buy another pair to hang as curtains because I am so impressed with the noise-dampening!

Title: They cut down on sound!
Review: My neighbors play their music loud with a lot of bass. I don’t hear the.bass that much if I’m outside but inside it is somehow amplified by the glass in my closed sliding doors.PRO: These curtains are thick and they minimize the bass tremendously so I can stop resenting my neighbors. They also keep out light and heat.CON: My only complaint is they always look wrinkled. I steamed them after I hung them but after I opened then closed them the wrinkles are back.

Review: These curtains and thick and heavy. Make sure to get a strong curtain rod to support them. And they work surprisingly well. I put them inside a set of glass French doors to muffle the sound inside the room. Works like a charm!!
