Great little exercise for those with lumbar spine disc bulge and low back pain where extension hurts and they are struggling to get it better.
This is loaded extension – be warned… BUT it is supported. Best to use your kitchen bench top, a wide stance and you have to switch on your core to control the movement. The idea is to help improve not only your lower back extension ROM but to also improve spasm, muscle guarding, fear avoidance and above all, your motor patterning of the lower back into extension and overall lower back strength. Using your core really helps so it needs to be on all the time, and stay in the pain free boundaries.
