Title: The 1100W makes this Toshiba Countertop Microwave Oven a must haveâ¦
Review: I chose this Toshiba Microwave Oven because it has very clearly marked buttons, and the color matches my kitchen appliances. The Toshiba was a great value for the money, the size is perfect for our family. I also liked the speed of using the two defrost settings feature. I donât detect any odor at all. Buy it! ð

Title: Fantastic microwave
Review: I bought this microwave to replace a very old microwave that had issues. My old microwave’s keypad was failing and the paint on the inside was badly rotting away. So it was time to buy a new microwave.I also purchased a microwave plate cover to protect this new microwave from splatter. The splatter is what caused my old microwave’s paint to chip away. If you have food splatter (like pasta sauce) inside the microwave, then you turn the microwave on. You’ll cook the paint job. Over time the paint will start to chip away.So i bought this plate cover and so far it’s keeping the microwave clean:(i included a photo of the plate cover inside the microwave)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KVK337M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Pros:- Cooking -It cooks really well. I was surprised to find out this cooks a bit better than my old microwave. Seems to cook more evenly. Cooks just as fast as my old microwave (similar wattage)My old microwave: 1,000 wattsThis Toshiba: 1,100 watts- Touch pad (East To Use) -Nice simple touch pad. It works well. Lots of quick touch options. The “One touch start” is great, press 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, etc… good for older people. Not complicated to figure out.- Instruction Label -It has a label on the inside the microwave with info / instructions for cooking different things (defrost, melt, popcorn, etc) so you have that info available to you anytime.- Noise Level (Cooking noise) -It does make noise like all microwaves do but the noise it makes is actually pretty quiet. Much more quiet than my old microwave. The noise it makes is an odd buzzing noise when you turn it on to cook. At first i thought that buzzing noise it was making was a bad sign but that’s just the noise it makes. Not an issue. Just a new sound to a different microwave.- Keypad Beep noise -You can turn off the beep noise of the keypad. I turned it off to test it, it works. But i turned it back on just because i then realized i enjoy hearing the beep noise feedback.- Child safety -There is a safety option, at first i thought if i activate it, it would prevent the door from opening but that’s not how it works. If you activate it, you can still open the door. But the microwave won’t function until you turn off the lock via the keypad. A little lock icon will appear on the LCD screen to let you know it’s locked. So after every time you finish using the microwave you will have to turn the lock option on. When you want to use it, turn lock option off. If you have kids it might be worth the extra steps to lock / unlock it, otherwise it’s not worth using.- Microwave color -It looks stylish. Especially if you have black / chrome around the kitchen. It’s also fine with white also.Cons:- The stainless steel on the door is a “finger print magnet”. If you touch it, it will create smear marks. The handle has the chrome also.(i included a photo of that)- Color options -One thing i noticed when trying to buy a microwave. The color options are very limited.I do wish this microwave had more color options. I originally was hoping to get a 100% white microwave or at least get this same color microwave but have the black be in the color of white or even 100% silver but it’s not an option. It’s fine though. It still looks pretty good.- Clock -Not really a huge complaint, but if you unplug the microwave, the clock gets reset automatically. I think this is an issue with all microwaves. Would be nice if it could save the time when not plugged in. Because if you accidentally unplug it, then you have to set the time again.Summary:I haven’t fully tested ALL the cooking features. But for basic everyday use of quickly heating / cooking things, it works well, cooks well. Great microwave. Worth spending money on as it’s an investment that should last for many years.

Title: Adequate, not Impressive
Review: (UPDATE Broil/Grill function)Adequate, not Impressive. Outer dimensions pretty much standard, but interior oven is very big. And heavy. Interior is metallic like a toaster oven, not a white enameled finish like a microwave oven.- MICROWAVE function is good – can calibrate slow and sensitive cooking times with the power levels. 100% Power is pretty strong. I have only used 80% or 90% so far.- AIR-FRY / BAKE function – not yet impressed, Takes as much time to preheat this tabletop appliance as it does for the oven in a stand alone range. Top surface of this model gets very hot – same as a toaster oven would get, so you cannot set or store anything directly on top of this appliance. Need to buy a microwave rack that has a shelf that hovers 2-3 inches above the top of the oven.- NO ALERT BEEP when Preheat has reached its designated temperature. Took 12 minutes to reach 300-degrees and I had to use a kitchen timer to check on the temperature display every 3 minutes.- BROIL/GRILL function. Customer Service Rep says overhead heating element does not turn Red when broil temperature has been met. Took 10 full minutes to turn a single slice of white supermarket bread medium brown. This is much slower than my toaster oven.-MUST BE MINDFUL of the type of material going into the oven. I can see a lot of people accidentally inserting paper, plastic, or other flammable material for the Broil, Bake, or Air Fry function a result of the habitually shoving disposable containers into a microwave.- USER MANUAL is goofy. It reads “Enter correct time of day” throughout. What the book really means is “Enter cooking time (seconds or minutes)” How this misleading wording got past Toshiba’s translation dept is inexplicable.- A Push-button to open door, instead of having to yank it out/push in (and shake whole appliance) would have been a better design

Title: It does the job.
Review: This microwave is great. It does a really great job of heating food evenly so the middle isn’t left cold. The buttons are easy to read. The door pull open easily. Great value for the money!

Review: Have had this microwave for about a month now, bought it to replace my 20-year old Panasonic that had suddenly started taking much longer to heat. Chose this because it also has the convection/air fryer function. The ‘regular’ oven function works great – heats fast (minutes) and cooks well (chicken wings, roasted garlic) – very useful alternative to using a full oven. The microwave timer is set with a dial, and changes time increments as you pass 60 seconds, 5 min, etc. This is a bit annoying, but only because I am used to entering an exact number on the keypad of my last oven. Still getting used to the individual features and “quirks’ of this oven, so I keep the manual close by. Clock very easy to set. Stainless steel interior is easy to clean, but recommend always covering the top of ‘messy’ food as the ceiling of the oven has an element, making it harder to access for cleaning.

Review: We searched endlessly for a new microwave for our new home and happened to come across a Wirecutter article (do a web search for it) where they took some of the most popular microwaves and put them through a ton of tests. The Toshiba models were at the top of the list for even cooking (use potatoes for testing), best popcorn performance with the least amount of kernels left at the end, good defrost performance, intuitive easy to use controls and their one year warranty you supposedly don’t send the unit back, rather you provide them with a receipt and they issue you a refund cheque which is much appreciated. So far we love the unit as it’s easy for our kids to use as it has that basic 1980’s style control layout not one of these new ones that tries to be some science fiction 2120 food preparation units. Popcorn bags come out perfect and reheating food is nice and even. First Toshiba microwave I’ve ever owned and I don’t know I’ll ever go back to Panasonic after this.Update April 2024: The unit has now died. It did a bag of microwave popcorn, then another family went to use it and the interior light was going on and off like it was shorting out and the screen was doing the same. Unplugged, plugged back in but same issue. At this point it’s faulty and no idea where to begin to try and repair it so off to electronic recycling it goes. Managed to get 4.5 years out of it but not super impressed.

Review: Iâve been using the product link since April 2021, and it has been a dependable addition to my kitchen. Hereâs my experience:Pros:Essential Functions: While I donât use all the bells and whistles, the core functionalitiesâdefrosting, heating, and sensor cookingâwork flawlessly. Itâs great to have reliable basics.Efficiency: The microwave efficiently does its job without any fuss. Itâs become an essential part of my daily routine.Things to consider thought :Limited Exploration: Since I havenât explored all the features, I canât speak to their performance. However, for what I need, itâs been excellent. If youâre looking for a straightforward microwave that gets the job done, this one is worth considering. Itâs not overly complicated, and sometimes simplicity is the key to satisfaction.
