Title: Compact, lightweight, powerful, and easy to operate
Review: I ordered this VIVOHOME 4.75Qt Stand Mixer as an additional mixer for my home bread baking, to be able to make two different doughs at the same time. I tested it on a croissant dough which is somewhat finnicky regarding dough hooks, time, temperature, and speed. As a dough mixer, this machine is top of the line. As I wrote in the heading, it is lightweight and powerful, and has a lighted dial that makes it easy to select speeds. Now, this is a machine that wonât handle big volumes of bread. My guess is that up to 700 grams should be the limit, which is well within regular home baking needs. It is lightweight because the casing is ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), which is a thermoplastic polymer known for its durability in finished products. It is impact-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and has good thermal stability, which is key for home bread baking. The motor is powerful enough so as to make the higher speeds not needed in my applications. The head, being light, vibrates during operation, but not enough as to de-center the hook, as other mixers do. It stays steady. I donât comment on the noise level, because it really is irrelevant for my application; Iâd say that it is par with my other mixers. What I would suggest to enhance the product is to add a handle to the bowl to make it easier to manipulate, and to make an opening on the cover (see pics) to allow removal after initial stages; this type of cover is necessary only at the start, when there could be some splashing. The baker hook (the others I didnât test) is excellent: it picks everything left on the bowl and works wonders on the dough (see pics). This is an excellent product that can be trusted to do what it was designed to. I expect it to grow, like all my other mixers, to old age and prepare many doughs and my wifeâs pastries. I like this product very much and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Title: Not good with bread dough
Review: This mixer is loud and the top was shaking all over the place when I was making bread dough. There is no guard above the dough hook (It looks like a disk and the hook and guard should be 1 piece)to prevent the dough from working its way up the hook and into the beater shaft. That’s exactly what happened to me. There’s dough stuck far up into the spring of the beater shaft.I tried getting it out but I wasn’t able to get it all.Cake batter would not be a problem with this mixer but for kneading dough, it didn’t work out for me.For as much as I bake bread, and the housing of the mixer being made of plastic, I don’t think this mixerwould last very long.

Title: Nice for Low-Speed Baking Needs
Review: This is a good little mixer. It is very lightweight, which had me concerned at first for quality. But it seems durable and mostly steady. It has speeds that work well for bread, cookies, and other doughs and batters that don’t require high speed mixing. As one daughter quickly discovered, the speeds on this mixer do not reach high enough for making things like divinity or other yummies that need high speed whipping or beating. BUT, as long as you don’t need those super fast whipping speeds, this is a really nice option.I will say that many of our recipes call for a 5-6 quart mixer, and this one is just under that. So, it’s important to be attentive to the capacity. But, as long as you are attentive, this works.Honestly, we’re really excited about this stand mixer. It’s a very affordable option and, as long as we have a good alternative for when we need higher speeds, this should meet our needs.

Title: Great for beginners
Review: I got this mixer to try and expand my baking abilities and so far, it has been a great experience. This machine is very lightweight and easy to move around, making it great for smaller kitchens where space is limited. Iâm still learning to judge the necessary speed by eye, so the LED backlit dial is helpful with knowing exactly what speed Iâm on. The attachments are good quality and have been all I needed for anything I have tried to make. Because of the lack of weight, the head bounces a little bit, but that hasnât been a problem. It’s also a little on the loud side. I donât know if itâs a normal level, so I canât say much. But I would have thought a more modern machine would be quieter. These are very small problems I have and I would recommend this mixer.

Title: Decent Mixer
Review: I personally have 2 mixers now and now this is my third one. This mixer is great for making dough, cake batter, and whipping. Compared to my kitchen aid mixer it performs almost as good. A kitchen aid mixer runs anywhere from $250-400 depending on the model you select, to many home bakers that price is simply unaffordable. This runs at a $100 price point. My test consisted of making a dough for pizza, a simple cake batter, and the custard for tiramisu. I was able to do everything with ease. The tiramisu custard could have been whipped a little bit better as compared to the kitchen aid mixer. the performance difference did not justify a deduction. If you are an occasional baker and want something a step up from a hand mixer or mixing by hand this is a product you should try out.

Title: BEST FOR BREAD or DOUGH
Review: When we got this mixer, we were replacing a stand mixer that was starting to break. This one is good for certain things and that thing is BREAD OR DOUGH. But it’s not as good for other things. I didn’t realize that when we got it so I want to be sure to point that out.If you are left handed, you will love the way the mixer head lifts. It has a nice clear cover for the mixing bowl. It’s effective and nice to have. However, the biggest problem I’ve seen so far is that the head does not lift up far enough out of the way if you want to stir what’s in the bowl. After using it for several tasks in the kitchen, I can say that we will definitely use it for dough based recipes. But for things other than that, it’s subpar. We will use it anyway and make do.The speed control is not great. The first setting does not turn it on at all.The color is great, the handle to lift the head is very satisfying, and the bowl is great. It fits down into the mixer nicely. It has a plastic body and it could feel sturdier. it looks fantastic. So it’s kind of a mixed bag for this stand mixer, but probably more pros than cons! I hope it’s durable and will last a while!
