Title: Lightweight! Hands-free!
Review: Perfect gift for my mom! She likes how she can use it hands free. And since this is lightweight, she can use it to read books however long she wants. The light is great for bedtime reading as well!

Title: User unfriendly
Review: I am helping my visually impaired neighbor who needs magnification to read or use phone, microwave, etc.I found this product design to be absurd and user unfriendly. I attempted to adjust it for use and had great difficulty. I don’t think my 94 year old neighbor will be able to use it. Did it ever occur to the manufacturer that instructions for an item for the visually impaired should be printed in LARGE LETTERS instead of teeny weeny print. Great idea–horrible design. I’m sure you can do better. I’m so disappointed

Title: Not very useful
Review: This item does magnify but the plastic has a reflective quality that reflects everything around it and creates a glare so it can be very difficult to arrange it to use it comfortably. It’s fine for magnifying small phrases, etc but not suitable for reading a book.

Title: Nice large screen with good lighting
Review: I wanted this to assist in reading the newspaper and it worked well. I did “bend it” and used it on a table, instead of around the neck. Then I could easily move the paper under the magnifier and light. I also did reinforce, with a thin strip of Gorilla Tape, the frame to the glass, on the edge that hooks into the detachable function.

Title: Design is really very good
Review: We bought this magnifier for my 86 year old mother. She has had deteriorating eye sight for the last three or four years. The design allowing her to wear around her neck thereby freeing her hands worked very well. We ended up returning because the magnification power was not strong enough.
