Title: Nicer than I expected.
Review: First off, the “head” is perfect: the magnifying lens works great and makes it super easy to see what you’re doing, and the 2 adjustment knobs, for brightness and “color temperature”, work smoothly and control it over a wide range (it gets very bright). Plus, there is a separate light-touch power switch. I also like that it uses USB power, so (a) the current in the lamp is low voltage and not potentially dangerous, and (b) if there is a problem with the adapter, I can replace it from the junk drawer. I wouldn’t change a thing.The two mounting options, a heavy round base and a clamp, are also first-rate, except that the screws that keep the arm from rotating (in both) are not very heavy-duty, but I don’t expect most people would probably even want to lock it in place, but it’s worth mentioning in case you do.The articulating arm is both shorter and lighter-duty than I expected. It is…fine…in both those aspects, but not up to the quality of the top and bottoms. Also, the top is quite heavy, and is not held in place as firmly as I would like by the link at the top of the arm. That said, it does work great, and it is very easy to use. My wife used it to repair some jewelry, and said it was “awesome”.

Title: Exacty what i needed
Review: Very Satisfied with this lighted long arm magnifying glass! It makes my life so much easier and less strain on my eyes especially when I’m working on small items or soldering or even when I’m assembling and painting my 3d prints works amazing! Its quick connect mount works great if you don’t have a dedicated work area like myself I can just tighten it down on the kitchen table and in seconds disconnect it and put it away until its needed again. The boom arm seems very sturdy and stays exactly where I position it while working. GREAT ITEM I RECOMEND !!!!

Review: I got this magnifying glass to keep in my garage and it’s come in handy to read manufacturers info tags and getting splinters out of my hand. I have it clamped to my work bench where it folds up nicely and stays out of the way till i need it. The brightness setting and color temp are a nice feature, and it also comes with a weighted base if that’s more convenient to use than the clamp. I definitely recommend this product.

Title: Superb illumination and magnification, but lacking in build quality
Review: Stepless dimming of 2000 lumen LED array, continuously variable color temperature, long reach of 35.5″, and 10x magnification through a 4.2″ glass lens are some of the features that KUVRS boasts about. But some shortcoming is manufacturing details reduce the lamp’s appeal.The build quality is acceptable, and fortunately is mostly metal, but there are a few areas where durability is a concern. The mounting base is cast aluminum with an iron clamping screw and hollow iron swivel pad on the end of the thread. The swivel pad feels like it would break off if too many adjustments are made. The arms are hollow iron, and mounted together with thin iron plates. Where the top arm and the lamp head meet, there’s a rotating joint where the wire insulation is already split — this is going to fail electrically if it isn’t treated delicately. Another mark against its quality is the inclusion of a spare screw and a note explaining how to replace it when it wears out (thank you for including the extra, but please fix the condition that causes it to wear out). I wouldn’t expect this to last long in a kid’s room as it’s not built to take the abuse.The swingarms move smoothly and quietly. The four springs seem to be only for aesthetics; I removed them and the lamp held its position all the same. With the arms fully extended, the lamp reaches 35.5″ from the edge of the table to the furthest point on the lamp-head. The diameter of the lamp head is 6.5″. The base can clamp onto a table as large as 2″ in thickness.The diameter of the exposed lens is 4.0″ (not the advertised 4.2″). The magnification is excellent. The lens is clear and shows no obvious blemishes or irregularities. I found 4″ lens provided an adequate field of view, and there was enough space between the tabletop and lens to work without bumping the lamp head with tools.When at the highest color temperature 36 cool white LEDs are illuminated around the perimeter of the lens; at the other end of the spectrum a different set of 36 warm LEDs is illuminated. Adjustment of the color temperature appears continuous, but the dimming appears to happen in 16-20 discrete steps. At full illumination, there’s abundant light for reading fine print, working on electronics or other crafts.At the time of this writing, this price point ($50) has few other options with with stepless dimming and continuous color temperature control, so if those are of primary interest, this is a fair value. But aside from those features, there is a wide range of prices and features for similar products, perhaps with more robust construction.
