Title: Inexpensive and it works great.
Review: First off, I own multiple Klein and Fluke testers. I still use these for multiple applications. Each of these cost in the excess of $ 100.00. I always need to remove their batteries so that the batteries don’t leak and destroy the tool. It’s a “best practice” thing.Here’s the cool things about this tool, it’s inexpensive and it doesn’t take batteries. You plug into a socket, and it’s powered automatically. I checked it for accuracy against both my Klein multimeter, Klein socket tester, and Fluke inductive testers. It was dead on for all measurements: Volts, Amps, Watts, etc.Here’s the question: Why would I use this if I wave the other meters? Well. this is quick and easy, and I hate reinstalling batteries in each of the other devices.If I have multiple circuits to check or troubleshoot, I’ll beak out the Klein and Fluke tools, but if I only have a couple of things to check or I didn’t have multiple hundreds of dollars to spend, this tool is a very reasonable substitute.The only drawback that i can see, is that this tester resets back to W (watts) every time it’s unplugged. It’s a small annoyance to cycle to one of the other measurements. It only takes a few seconds, but it’s an annoyance.Note: The directions are a little weak. To cycle what is being measured, you hold down the (M) button for about 5 seconds, the screen will flash, then tap the (M) button again until you see the proper field you want to be measured. It only takes a few seconds.I would definitely recommend this tool.

I doubt I will be using this thing much in the future.These are the attributes I think are important:1 – show wattage, there are other readings possible but I dont think Ill ever use them2- backlight, missing this wouldnt be a dealbreaker, but glad to have it3 – durable, seems sturdy enough4 – cost, about $10 as of July 2024, good value

Title: Great device for understanding your energy consumption
Review: I bought this device because it was price point, and because I needed to know how much energy I was consuming in my office. This device works. The LED display is easy to read, assuming that you put it on an outlet that’s easy for you to reach. My outlet was not easy to reach, but an extension cord fix that issue immediately. If you were needing a device like this, then I assume that you are needing to know the energy consumption of your appliances. Pay attention to the specs on this device and you should be able to use this with confidence.

Title: Works great!
Review: I can’t really speak for the accuracy of this beyond it giving about the readings I expected as I don’t have another to compare it to, but it seems accurate, & It’s very easy to use. Just plug into the wall & plug what you want to test into it.I just wish there was a way to set the backlight to stay on & not turn off after a set time, as having to press a button for it to light up every time I want to check it gets annoying.

Review: You have to love getting something that does what the seller says it can do and it turns out to be super easy to use. I needed something to figure out how much my appliances used so that I could properly plan my backup electric for outages in Florida. This thing is well constructed, easy to use, and gives me the data I need for my calculations.

Title: I didn’t know these existed.
Review: I really like this Watt Meter. I bought my wife a very pricey portable ice maker, but I was worried about how much it would cost to run it 24 hours a day like you’re supposed to (I think). This little Watt Meter showed me that it will cost about $5 a month to run the ice maker – I can handle that! I just checked my electric bill and calculated that 1 Kwh costs 0.16 cents – I live in Florida. The Watt Meter shows me that the ice maker uses approximately 1 Kwh per day. 31 days times 16 cents equals $4.96 a month. I’m a poor math teacher by trade, and that whole process appeals to my love of math and my stinginess. And it does a whole lot more than just show the total Kwh. It’ll show the watts an appliance is pulling, the amps, and a host of other stuff I haven’t really looked at because the $5 a month answered my question.

Review: A great tool to add to your bag if you’re someone who’s building your own portable battery banks, dc systems, rv upgrades, or just wanting to understand your household energy consumption. I bought because I have done most of this, and I like to be able to get a sense of the products I might take with me in the Jeep camping and what their energy draw is. And if you haven’t considered it, for example, you can build your LiFePo jackery cheaper than buying that product who has horrible customer service anyway. Plus, building your own stuff is just more fun. this little tool will help you get a handle on sizing such a system (capacity – watt hour size – and inverter size) for the ac products you might like to take with you.

Title: Very easy to connect.
Review: I was curious about current draw by my treadmill. Unfortunately I had no easy way to measure it. This device was perfect. I just plugged it into the path between the wall outlet and the treadmill, selected current and got my readings. It can do several other things but I have not tried them.
