Title: Great Device for Determining Reactions to Allergants
Review: This is my 3rd device. I would not be without it, despite its limited battery life.I use it every day to monitor the air quality in my house, my lawn and my environment.I have found key correlations between my wife’s reactions to her allergies and the air quality to which she is exposed. This has led us to better choices in HVAC air filters and other life choices. With daily charging and monitoring multiple times per day, I have found the devices work for about a year; however, the cost of a new device per year pales in comparison to the improved quality of sleep and ease breathing my wife has each day over that year.

Title: Sensitive & Convenient
Review: I’ve had the Atmotube Pro for a few weeks now, after looking at several other options to monitor air quality in my small wood shop. I’ve noticed that reviews of other sensors on Amazon have claimed a sensor is accurate, without offering any proof by, say, comparing the sensor to a known calibrated standard. That doesn’t give me much confidence However, if you are interested in accuracy, search online for AQ-SPEC Summary Tables (Amazon doesn’t allow URLs in reviews). That will take you to a webpage maintained by the South Coast AQMD that shows tests of a variety of low-cost air quality sensors. Their tests are run against lab calibration standards and field comparisons to very expensive calibrated sensors. The Atmotube ranks quite well – better than the Dylos, a popular, though now outdated, low-cost sensor. In fact, the Atmotube ranks pretty well against the very expensive lab sensors. That gave me enough incentive to spring for the Atmotube. The Atmotube has good battery life, roughly 8-10 days or so if you’re only capturing data every 15 min. That goes down to about 1.5 days if you’re capturing every minute. Of course you can just leave it plugged into power if you want to monitor for long periods of time. The smartphone interface is nice. It shows you plots of air quality including PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 vs time. And you can download the data to your computer. So far its been quite useful for figuring out the main sources of dust in my shop, and how fast my air cleaner can get rid of it. And in my house it’s opened my eyes to what frying fish can do to the air quality. It seems to be quite sensitive – registering the effects of cooking even while the sensor is 30ft away in my den.

Title: Fun little device
Review: Readings are responsive and registers environmental conditions almost immediately. It seems to be accurate or at least consistent with my other devices. Easy to read results in the app and nice to get current air quality indication easily with a push of a button.2 cons:1) had difficulties to pair in app. Almost gave up and was going to return the device.2) pressure never changes. It’s stuck on the same number – 995.9 and raining outside when it’s clear, sunny, 110 degrees with humidity in the teens.

Title: New to this but works very well
Review: I had been having serious allergies / respiratory issues that my OTC meds hadn’t really been keeping at bay, and researched air quality monitors to maybe get an idea if we had issues in the house or what / where was worst affecting me. I then was reminded of air purifiers being a thing and got one of those which has more or less completely helped me, but I still got one of these monitors because the knowledge seems useful. It’s only app driven, there’s no interface or readout on the device itself although I believe the light will give some basic indications, like if quality is very bad. The app is fantastic though. I do wish they broke down what is usually found in the different categories of tests (PM1 etc.) but that’s easy to look up.Aside from air quality, the temperature monitor and humidity monitor are useful to see if some of your house isn’t getting airflow or something like that.

Title: Requires a continuous connection to your phone
Review: Works, but it doesn’t store data even for a few hours — you must keep your phone continuously connected to the monitor for any time you want data. iPhones don’t like to do this and will drop the connection after a little while of running the app in the background. They could probably work around this by making their app collect locations also, but it would be better if the Atmotube would store a days worth of data and download it when you connect.

Title: Simple, easy to understand
Review: Although a bit pricey this item gives quick results via cell phone, keeps (spotty) records and can be carried wherever you go. There are no calibrations required. My wife has severe allergy problems and is very sensitive to air quality. This device quantifies her perceptions and gives her peace of mind. It has an alarm function if air becomes too bad.

Title: Piece of junk
Review: This meter is only good if you live in a temperate climate like San Diego. I live in Abu Dhabi and it does not record the humidity correctly. It also takes three or so days to really calibrate each time you move it to get an accurate reading so it is not portable. I compare it to my Dyson AirLink app on my air purifier and it gives lower PM 2.5 and VOC readings in general, and also does not agree on temp and humidity (the units are located three feet apart). I would not buy this again. Customer service was not helpful and when I contacted them to return the immunity they did not initiate return though the unit was only 3 days old. Buyer beware! You’re better off getting a dedicated PM2.5 meter, barometer, or thermometer if these are things you’re interested in. This unit does none of them well, and I would just look at the reading on the air quality app on my phone instead and save my money.

Review: My husband loves this thing. He takes it with him and measures interior and exterior particles everywhere. It has been especially useful with all the air quality issues due to the forest fires.
