Title: Stay Away From This Phone
Review: Never worked well and started dropping calls every minute or so after about four months use. Cheap and unreliable and very frustrating for the senior we were trying to help communicate with us. We’ve replaced it with a similar phone from another manufacturer (as best as we can tell anyway, all these phones come from no name factories in China) and fingers crossed we have a better experience this time around.

Title: A little difficult to set up
Review: The installation was easy, instructions were not very clear. Product is low quality not very sturdy. I hope it last long, I got it for my dad who’s bed ridden and has no use of his hands. I like the large buttons which allow him to make calls using his elbow or wrist to press speed dial buttons.

Title: Must for seniors with difficulties
Review: Whether you put in a picture or just a large number, this is exactly what I need for a family member with macular degeneration. Big buttons makes it easy to see and use. I have it hooked to a cordless phone that’s on a landline, works perfectly. Easily programmed for 1 touch dialing ( like speed dial ) or use it as just a dialing device. The phone you’re plugged into still works in either mode. I think it’s great and it helps the low vision person to feel more secure and confident.

Title: Good phone for Dementia Patient
Review: This has turned out to be a good product fit for us. My mom has dementia and having the ability to dial based on photo’s is turning out to be a huge benefit. If you follow the directions precisely, you’ll be able to setup and assign the numbers easily. We set it up with the two button calling – push the speakerphone button then the face of the person. This is great because Mom doesn’t have to remember numbers (can dial numbers, but she couldn’t do that anyway). I have experienced a couple small challenges but nothing big. When you assign the number to a picture button don’t push the buttons too quicly. When you test the number you just stored, if you try to dial quickly and hit call too soon after trying the last test, it will sometimes not place the call. If you experience this just wait a few seconds and try again, it’s like it’s still trying to process and shut down the call. Not too big of a deal. The other challenge is that the call quality is not too great. You have to speak pretty loudly to talk to her for her to hear it and if she walks too far away you can’t hear her so well. But it works pretty well most of the time, good enough for the cost. Overall I would say it has been a good value for the money.
