Title: Perfect for elderly mom w/dialing and hearing problems.
Review: Bought for my 93yo mom in a nursing home. Having trouble with her hands and hearing problems. The one button dial is perfect for her.Easy to set up and easy to use. Just pick up the phone and push the button. The sound is loud and clear. With the amplifier on I admit If you turn the handset volume up too much, there is a some distortion, but at that volume, It’s really loud, so, if you need it that loud,I’d try it, and if the distortion is too much, return it, but it will probably be ok . Myself, I turned the amplifier off, and the sound up, and its plenty loud and clear for her, and she is very hard of hearing in one ear especially.I like the extra loud ringer with flashing light.Perfect for this application, really helped my mom stay in contact and feel connected again because she was having trouble dialing. It’s not a $500 phone type of construction, but good enough. Seems fairly well made with enough weight to not fall off the table when used which was important. On the programming numbers, the dial tone will be on while you’re programming the number, but it is working. If you hit the busy signal, just keep programming.. the buttons are easy to stick a little name or picture on. We did words as it is fairly small, say 3/4″ by 1/2″, but I think a picture would work ok.

Title: Very good phone for elderly or and/or hard-of-hearing
Review: The highest volume is super loud, and the buttons are really big. The stored numbers are really useful too!

Title: Works well but programming instructions in manual were wrong
Review: This phone worked beautifully for my dad. At first I had an issue programming the phone as the instructions in the booklet were wrong. Lift the receiver then hit STORE. Click on the assigned button [face plate/name button] you wish to program. Enter the phone number with nine digits [I didn’t use 1]. Hit the same memory button again THEN hit STORE. At that point hang up the phone then lift the headset and hit the memory button to hear it dial out. For some reason, they left out two pieces of those instructions in their manual. Once the thing is programmed, it’s super easy to use. My dad automatically started using it to dial across the house and call my mom’s cellphone for help on stuff. The sound is super loud and he’s hard of hearing which means he can hear people. There is a low ring or high ring function so you can choose. We did low because it was insanely loud across the house. In all, I’m very happy we bought this. My dad accidentally leaves the phone off the hook as he struggles with the traditional digital ones of today. I did have to order a REALLY long 25 foot cord to get it to my dad’s chair but it was worth it.

Title: Great Phone
Review: I have had this phone for my mom for over a year and it still works great and is very easy for her to use. She has dementia and dialing numbers is hard for her, but she can see the names on the buttons and can easily call anyone she calls regularly. The ringer is LOUD (almost wish I could turn it down some.) No issues with call quality either. She isn’t hard of hearing, so I don’t have experience with that feature.

Title: Lesson learned. Never again.
Review: Purchased this phone for my elderly parents who live in a remote area. This phone stopped working after only 6 months of minimal use. Here are my elderly parents picking up the phone when I call to see how they’re doing. “Hello? Hellooo?” They can’t hear me because the speaker in the handset stopped working. The reason I purchased this phone was as a last resort in case they run into any trouble up there. Imagine my parents trying to call an ambulance if there were a medical emergency. The reason I chose this phone is because it looked absolutely foolproof. It’s a physically wired handset with large buttons. What could go wrong? Cheap construction maybe at a premium price? Poor customer service? Contacted vendor, EZ living aids, who refused to take return or exchange. If that’s the experience you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place! Also, even if I didn’t have problems, it is not a good phone to begin with. It’s loud-ish, but the microphone has one small hole to it that is easily covered up if the handset isn’t held just right. Not good. Avoid.

Review: Great features. Some slight issue with push buttons as you need to hit dead center on them to work. One feature that is missing and would make this unit complete is call display.

Review: After spending time printing the photos for the phone and placing them on the phone I could not program the numbers to match the photos. I must have read the manual 20 or 30 times on how to program the phone. Every attempt resulted in a failure. There was also a lot of static on the phone when the amplification feature was turned on. If I had the option I would give this product a 0 out 10 rating. Extremely disappointed as it was a gift for a senior who has poor eyesight and hearing.

Review: This phone is pretty much ideal for my 85-yr-old dad who sometimes struggles with placing and receiving calls on his cell phone. I hooked it up to “cell2jack” (also available on Amazon) which relays incoming and outgoing calls between the ClearSounds phone and his cell.Pros:Wide range of amplification for ringer and voice volume;Easy to program the 1-touch buttons and easy to insert labels in the 8 large 1-touch buttons;Buttons are large and easy for him to find/read;Loud, clear, volune-adjustable and tone-adjustable voice quality;Delivery by Intelcomm was superb and earlier than Amazon estimatedCons:Handset has to be very precisely placed in the cradle, otherwise it doesn’t hang up – pulling out and reversing the cradle tab (actually for wall mounting) gives my dad something to “catch” the handset on;Handset curly cord is kind of short and the phone is quite light so if you even slightly stretch the handset cord, the phone will be easily pulled possible crashing to the floor (if not wall mounted) – I invested in an extra long replacement cord;Maximum advertised amplification can only be achieved by inserting 4 batteries (included) in the bottom of the phone which the manual says likely need to be replaced yearly – didn’t need the batteries as the phone seems loud enough and still fully adjustable without, but someone harder of hearing may need them for the extra boost. All in all, my dad and I are quite happy with this phone.
