Title: Excellent room heater
Review: The De’Longhi brand is really high quality and excellent. This makes 6 of these that I have purchased for myself and others. The fan is quiet, the unit heats efficiently, and it can be set to turn on and off automatically. Also, you can stand it on its feet or hang it on the wall. If this gets tipped over, it shuts off automatically. If there is a power surge or if the wall socket overheats, this shuts off automatically. The outside gets hot, but not hot enough to burn with s simple touch. Great workmanship.

Review: Updated review, Spr ’20: most reviews discuss initial experience – good, bad or otherwise. A bad initial experience needs no further info. But what about reviews that start well – did the product stand up to the test of time?Heaters, no matter the type, seem to be problematic in the long term. And so on that note, I wanted to re-visit my review 2 years later.Both DeLonghi heaters continue to be great. Each is used daily, with the older of the 2 getting about 10x the use.The heat is consistent; fan is reasonable; construction is solid.These are workhorses!Original review: This is the 2nd HSX3315FTS that I purchased. The 1st was from early 2018 when weather took a severe plunge in St Louis. This was the only unit that kept a very cold room warm and me comfortable. The unit is quiet (silent like an oil-filled heater) when keeping the room a stable temp. But when needed, a fan setting is possible to push the air faster. This is ideal while days are still warm, but the space needs some help after a cool night.After success of 1st unit, no qualms about purchasing the 2nd unit, although will not use in such a cold space.Bottom line: quiet stable heat all the time; additional fan for booster.

Title: Fan Noise
Review: This Fall, 2024, I bought two De’Longhi Heaters. One unit is very low fan noise–reasonable noise. The Second unit is noisy–40 to 50 decibels–absolutely sure the noise occurs on Max Fan setting. However, the heating function is great for 400 square feet. Would I buy another one? –perhaps. I much prefer the De’Longhi Oil Radiator for up too 300 square feet.

Title: Words of caution
Review: Background: I live in Chicago and have a very cold, tiled kitchen in an old building. This past winter, we went through many days of -30 temperatures, and I had this heater on continuously with the fan on for days to try to keep the room warm. On one of the coldest days, I had it set to HIGH and ran it all night. I woke up in the morning to the smell of burning plastic, only to discover this had started a fire inside of my electrical box, and nearly completely melted the cord/plug. This smoked and eventually went out. Scared me to death, and now I will never run any type of electric heater at the lengths I was doing.A few things:-The electricity in our kitchen is wired correctly and is new from a renovation (see photo)-I didn’t see any warning about how often/how high of settings to use – so I wouldn’t have known-This was EXTREMELY expensive to operate-The device clicks loudly as the coils start/stop

Title: Efficient, quiet, and with a fan
Review: This heater is very efficient especially in locations where you want heat quickly.The timer function allows you have the heater turn on and off multiple times a day in 30 minute increments. This is especially useful if you want heat in the morning and evening but don’t need it in the middle of the night or mid day.The fan is quiet and it works equally well on the wall or free standing.I was going to mark down for not having wheels, but this is extremely light and moving it doesn’t require them.The fan is a huge advantage over a straight radiator. It lets the room heat up faster but also lets you warm up by the heater with out being right on top of it.

Title: It produces good heat but would not wall mount it
Review: I purchased the heater for our bathroom and wanted to hang it on the wall. It heats up quickly and provides sufficient heat. The metal does get hot and I would never consider mounting this to a wall, I cannot believe they even say it is an option. We put the legs on it and sit it in the floor (away from the wall and cabinets). I reduced the rating due to the concern of the marketing to hang this on a wall.

Title: Works ok but not good, and makes slight ticking noise
Review: Works OK, but not real good. The issue is the ticking noises constantlyThe unit ticks constantly.Luckily, not very loudly. I called support, and they said this is the tip over safety making the noise. My bed is 3 feet from the heater, so the noise is beginning to bug me. I may return it.The left side seems to be the fan outlet. Very very very unuseful location. The fan inlet should have been at the bottom and it should have blown out the top like it does in conversation mode (and it doesn’t do this, except in conversation mode).In the case where you plan to permanently mount the heater. There’s no drilling template. And it requires less that 1/8 inch accuracy.Here is the missing installation info:You’ll need at least 4 (more if like me you break one), sheetrock mounting screws. The more common plastic types probably won’t work. See my link for a good type example.You’ll need a level. Be aware the front grill is bumpy, so take several measurements across the heater.Mount the upper mounts first. Then mount the lower ones with the screw hole down, temporarily (the long side towards the wall). Attach the heater temporarily, to the wall. With the lower brackets attached to the heater, now mark the wall though the lower bracket mounting hole. Now remove the heater. Now remove the lower brackets, from the heater. Now drill the holes for the lower brackets.
