Title: Works Great, nice to have heat again
Review: Ordered this back in November, my furnace hasn’t worked in two years, after checking the voltage, I determined it might be the thermostat that needed replacing after over 20 years since I replaced my last one. I had to add a C wire adaptor with a couple wall fishes, came out great & works like a new heater now. Easy to program with the Sensi App on my phone, also works great with Alexa, very happy with this new smart thermostat

Title: Great thermostat and app!
Review: First, make sure that the thermostat has the shrink wrap on the box and nothing has been opened or damaged. (This happened with the first thermostat that was shipped to me. I returned it and, when the credit was issued as a gift card balance, I reordered the thermostat.) Shipment was very quick in both cases. Also, order the backplate for this thermostat if you want to hide any holes from the previous thermostat.Once you create the Sensi account, you can install the thermostat using the Sensi app. The thermostat was fairly easy to install. Follow along with the Sensi app, and in no time you will have successfully installed the thermostat.I had an older Emerson thermostat (since taken over by Sensi), so I am pretty familiar with the interface and app. The Sensi app is much more polished and easier to use than the Resideo app that is used with Honeywell Home thermostats. The Sensi app responds much more quickly than the Resideo app.The Sensi app also has humidity settings. In high humidity, the thermostat will overcool up to 3 degrees below the set temperature to remove excess humidity. (The Resideo app doesn’t do that!)The Sensi app gives you the option to lock the thermostat display, which will allow you to control the HVAC only through the app.

Title: Very good T’stat; the install can be a bit tricky for the amateur
Review: I gave it 4 stars only because of a lack of clarity using an Android to set up. But let me digress.First off the product is very good; and mechanically, it’s easy to install. All I needed was a screwdriver and a pointy nosed plier to put the wires in. And it’s versatile for just about any HVAC system. Shipping was less than a week in TX.In my case, I have a heat pump. I spent time understanding the features of my system (emergency heat, meaning 2 stage air handler but no Common wire at themorstat since I had a manual t’stat). My installer was kind in that they had the common wire spared in the t’stat and I tested that with voltmeter to confirm voltage between Red and that wire that it read the 24 VAC and I knew it was the common.Once I had all my wires properly landed and then turned back on the breakers at the air handler, I was faced with the setup. This is where things got troublesome. I had the Sensi app already installed and a login setup. So the first step is to connect to Wifi. I tried everything I could and Googled for help and no matter what, would not connect. (Keep in mind there are a list of routers that it is NOT compatible with so make sure to check that list before you even start. Go to Sensi website for that list.)So after 20 minutes of fiddling (and I’m a past IT professional) and realizing I had an hour before their support phone line closed, I gave them a call. I was pleasantly surprised that I got through quickly to a lady who was very helpful. After running through the basics of turning Data off on my phone, and making sure I was connected to a 2.4 ghz wireless connection, and that my router was compatible, what I then learned was that there are several steps that are not clear in any instructions. First, when you are in the App and connecting Wifi, you will see the wireless connections pop up and list the available wireless networks. BUT, you have to give it a few seconds and suddenly you see a Sensi network show up. You have to select that as well. Then the t’stat temporarily disconnects the Wifi and connects to a Sensi server and downloads a firmware update and takes a few minutes to do that. Then the t’stat reboots and you are asked on your Android a second time to connect to both the Wifi network and to check the Sensi network a second time. Then you are ready to manually put in your Wifi password twice. And you finally are past that step.Next you go into the Advanced Settings on the touchscreen of the t’stat and to the HVAC setup icon. There you need to know your type of system; heat pump, 2 stage air handler/1 stage outdoor unit. And then you manually choose the proper choices to get the control functions mapped correctly for your system. That went quickly. So the lady spent at least 20 to 30 minutes on the phone with me walking through all of these.Lastly, is the actual temperature setting. At first my temperature readings seemed to be way high and I had to apply a -5 degree offset via the phone app settings to get the temperature in the neighborhood. I had my old t’stat and a kitchen digital probe nearby to compare those readings to the new t’stat. I would say after about 24 hours of use, and the next day, the numbers dropped on the Sensi to where I had to then remove the offset entirely and back to zero, and now it’s right on the money. I do like the new auto change feature that will come in handy in TX with 40 to 50 degree temperature swings in the fall and/or spring. If most of what I said seemed scary to you technically, then I would certainly recommend you get an HVAC pro to install it for you.

Title: Works great, excellent app, we bought 3
Review: After using one of these at our old house, we bought 3 of these for the new house where we have 3 HVAC systems. They are easy to install, very user friendly, and the app to control them is excellent. I can see all 3 thermostats on the main screen (phone or tablet) and they work flawlessly via WiFi or cellular. I can also control them with Alexa, once you learn the correct phrases to use lol.

Review: I installed this today by myself. I took a pic of my old thermostat configuration to show you all. Took maybe 15 mins for everything except the WiFi. I followed the instructions on the app which was a very helpful tool. I can’t say enough good things about that bc whenever I install a new thermostat I am puzzled when the letters don’t matchy matchy. This app took that guesswork out for me. Thank you Emerson. The wifi I was stumped on for a but bc it said my password didn’t work. I figured out either me or the app was adding a space at the end of the password… So just be aware of that. This thing works amazing. If it blows up or stops working down the road, I’ll update my post but so far, so good. Both the touch screen on the device and the app work great. I love that you can lock the touch screen so your kids can’t increase the temperature.Installed my second one in the house where I only had R W G wires. Followed tutorial on changing G to C wire and I got it up and running. Wasn’t a problem. Added 10 mins onto the job. Easy peasy.

Programma’s (schedules) maken is onmogelijk. Door registratie problemen werkt deze thermostaat (zonder schedules) alleen binnen je eigen netwerk omgeving en niet buitenshuis.(Middels Apple apparatuur geprobeerd het draaiende te krijgen)

Review: So far this thermostat is working very well as a replacement for an old-style analog Honeywell. The touch screen is easy to use, setup and home network integration are a breeze, and it easily connects to Apple Home. The Apple Home app functionality is very basic, but I like having the ability to run automations or use voice commands with Siri. The Sensi app on the other hand has a lot of features, and is well-designed with a pretty intuitive user interface. It’s only been a couple of months but I’m very happy with it thus far.UPDATE: It’s now been over a year. I have had no issues at all. The only time it drops connection from wifi is when the power or internet go out. The app is just amazing. You can do a lot but it’s not clunky or confusing. They just keep making it better and easier to use. One of the best smart home device apps I have ever used. I hardly ever use the touch panel.

Review: My only problem with this is that it requires a 2 degrees Celsius delta in the Auto mode (which automatically switches between cooling and heating depending on the temperature), and that it doesn’t accept half degrees (ex.: 21.5 C). Otherwise it works really well and the installation instructions and great.

Review: I converted from an oil to propane furnace. The oil unit used a 2 wire heating system so had to upgrade the old thermostat to a 5 wire system and a new thermostat. After initially trying the Lyric 5 and being frustrated for a week with it’s lack of connectivity, i returned and picked up the Sensi. I had to find the wiring diagram online (specific for a 5 wire system) but once connected everything else was a breeze. User friendly options include customizing the heating schedule suitable for you on your smartphone, keeps connectivity, easy to navigate user controls on your smartphone. I liked that the system keeps track of the energy usage and how long the heating system was in use per day.I’m not a tech person, but was able to use the unit with Google Assistant. Unit blends in well with the overall aesthetic of the home.Would buy again
