Title: Easy set-up, Google Home integration
Review: Transitioning from another app based smart plug that didn’t support the app after Threads integration. Already using Emporia for our EV charger, so using the app was not a downside. Google Home integration was a plus, disappointed that it didn’t extend to Apple Home. App design is elegantly simple and easily does what is expected in terms of setting schedules and ad hoc control of the on-off switch. Being able to see power consumption is a game changer over the previous smart plug. Expanded smart plug use to our freezers for this very purpose since it also allows you to know if/when the freezer powers off. Overall, a very well done and useful device.

Title: Easy setup, records usage non-stop on the phone app.
Review: I haven’t had these long but so far I’m very impressed. The app works well on my iPhone 15 and I’ve already ID’d a problem with an appliance. Set up was a little shaky at first- mostly because the app said it failed but I actually discovered that it did connect. I’m thinking its a delay in the 2-way communication but it resolved itself once the handshake was confirmed. I actually plugged in two devices (stand-up freezer and a side by side refer/freezer and they worked. I wasn’t sure if the draw would exceed the plug’s rating on compressor startup but so far they both are working and recording.

Title: The best controllable receptacle on the market!
Review: Having used several other plugs, the Emporia Smart Plugs are significantly higher quality and much more reliable. The app interface is intuitive and easy to use. It is very easy to schedule the plugs and the bonus is having data logged on the power use. The data is available on the app and historical data can be downloaded as well.The one BIG item that stood out is the build quality. These plugs have a better plug then other cheaper alternatives. Worth the money.

Title: Works well but has challenges
Review: When you can get the smart outlets connected, they work well with the Vue 3 allowing you to monitor specific items on a circuit, but there’s 3 draw backs. 15amp load max which eliminates some kitchen appliances, won’t connect to 5ghz wifi, so if the outlet is too close the the router or mesh Hotspot, it won’t connect unless you can turn of 5ghz temporarily etc. and if power or wifi drops, the outlets have to be reconfigured…and if you had to moved a router farther away to connect it the first time…but when it works, it’s great!

Review: Love these things. Easy setup, integrates well with Alexa and Google Home, and can even be used with the native Emporia app. Out of the ~12 I’ve bought so far over the years, the status LED (blue/purple-on, red-off) comes and goes on 1 of the units (only shows red when off, nothing when on) but it’s one of my automated switched outlets so the LED status indicator doesn’t bother me.

Title: Bought these because previous model was recalled
Review: Only in a four pack.The syncing with the wifi was sketchy on the first one but the second was easy.I’m using one for the attic fan monitoring and minimizing power usage. I use a humidity and temperature sensor plugged into this. Schedule to run once a day to evac the air in the attic if the conditions are met.Second one and third one used for Christmas lights. Scheduled to run from 6p – midnight. Helps manage power usage. On Christmas eve thru Christmast day I can turn them on from my phone. No need to go to garage to do it.The app is excellent and intuitive. Great power usage report.I recommend this purchase. No I get nothing for my recommendation. I paid full price for these.

Title: exactly what i needed
Review: I’m using one to monitor my sump pump. I’ve set up the app to notify me if the connection is lost (e.g. due to power failure) so that I can quickly check the pump to prevent water damage to my house. If there is a power failure while I’m away, I will know almost immediately and can work out a solution.Emporia customer support is also excellent as they reply to emails quickly. I’ve bought 3 packs of these now to keep track of how much power the different applicances are using and which one uses the most. Great product and easy to set up.

Title: I cant wait to buy more
Review: These things are awesome, letting you see how much power something draws, and how much money it costs you. You can enter in your payment, or put in your location and let it detect for you. It even knows (for my area anyways), if you have a differential rate (you dont get charged for X amount of KWh, or different times cost different amounts). I dont honestly do anything about the information. Things draw what they draw, but there’s features where you can set timers, so things will turn off/on at whatever times. I do use these, but not for power draw. I use it to control my kid’s PS5 so that it won’t turn on after bed time. I use it for our chest freezer down stairs so I’d know if it ever failed. And I use it for my kid’s space heater, so its not running all day when they aren’t here. This could all be done with any smart plug, but I like having the power data, even if its just for fun. I want do buy another bundle to cover some more devices and eventually their circuit breaker kit to get info on my whole house.
