Title: No cost or subscription
Review: Easy to operate and charge. My mom needed a new unit and we have tried several different ones, one of the units we tried would not turn on once the batteries were installed and just went into test mode. So i ordered her this unit and it works so much better than the others we tried. the only thing is that it is difficult to thread the lanyard into the small opening.

Title: Stopped working after 1 1/2 years
Review: Worked fine at first–when it pocket dialed!Later went totally dead. Won’t charge. No lights and no response to either button.Too expensive to last less than 2 years.A great idea, but the equipment is short-lived.

Title: Pricey, but OK
Review: The unit works as advertised. It should be good as long as 4G service is around. It should be louder. My modest ($130) 5 year old cell phone is much louder and clearer on speakerphone than this unit. I would give 5 stars if it were louder. Some complain about the sticker on the front. True, it’s hard to get off unless you pre-heat it with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then use cotton dampened with rubbing alcohol to remove what’s left.

Title: So far so good!
Review: My intent is to use as a fall protection tool. One of the original reviews said the responder was hard to hear. Immediately upon receipt, I did a test. I am 79 years old and the voice responding was most clear and audible. I like the no monthly fee feature also.

Title: Works great, while saving monthly subscription fees.
Review: Despite the multiple bad reviews I have seen, this little gadget has worked for me with NO problems! Saves any monthly subscription costs, though it doesn’t offer the assurance of connection to a service bureau. Connects to 911 in cell areas and communicates well. I’m hard of hearing, yet it’s loud enough for me to hear. Holds a charge for days!

Title: NOT RELIABLE
Review: IN TESTING TO 911 THEY COULD NOT HEAR ME, I COULD BARLEY HEAR THEM. TRIED MANY TIMES TO 911. VOLUME IS VERY LOW. THE LABEL THEY PUT ON THE UNIT THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO REMOVE, IS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE, AND ONCE IT IS REMOVED IT LEAVES A GOOEY HARD TO CLEAN OFF RESIDUE.THE UNIT WAS FULLY CHARGED, AND IT SAID IT HAD GOOD COMMUNICATION AND READY, BUT IT JUST DOES NOT WORK WELL

Title: pros and cons
Review: This may not help in an emergency for the simple reason you can barely hear the 911 operator when they come on the line. I had to hold the unit to my ear to hear them when I did a test on it. Therefore I am not confident at all this would help my elderly parent if they fell and did manage to press and HOLD the button for 5 seconds for the mere fact they wouldn’t be able to hear 911.It does work though so for some people it would fit the bill.
