Title: Comfortabler!
Review: I have had the old school jewelers head mounted magnifier for years for small delicate work. I got a led light which mounted on it so it worked really well except for 2 issues both of which were solved by this magnifier. The main problem was that i couldn’t wear it for very long. It did not have infinite adjustment so for my head it was always either too loose or too tight. Too loose it would fall down so practically speaking the only option was too tight. Not good. Secondly it only came with a single lense. They explained that you chose the maginfication you wanted based on how far away you wanted to hold your work. This is not how work works. Sometimes you need it close to your face and other times further away.This magnifier does it all. It is very comfortable. You can use it with regular temples or a strap that comes with it. It has a integral LED light in 2 powers of brightness. It has a chargeable battery (comes with charging cable), and it has 5 magnification lenses included in a hard case which protects the lenses when not in use.The only issues I had with found with it is that I wear progressive eyeglasses and have astigmatism in one eye. it works great with my rimless Silhouette frames but not with the heaver frames i have. It has a nose bridge like glasses have and that is one of the reasons it is so comfortable. It fits behind the Silhouette frames but not some of the others. If you don’t have to correct for astigmatism you can simply take off your glasses but an astigmatism gives you blurry vision if not corrected so i like to wear my glasses and the magnifiers.The only other problem I had, and it could have been operator error, it only happened once, was that one of the lenses dropped out while I was using them and of course by Murphy’s Law, I was working over a concrete floor. Fortunately they weren’t scratched up directly in front of my eye. Still I wish the lenses were a little harder to chaqnge out. I would rather them harder to change out than have be able to easily fall out.These really are well thought out and function much better than the old school head band flip up style. I would pay a little more to have a hard case/travel case for the whole setup instead of just for the lenses.

Title: Import Products are getting better and better
Review: I feel that Chinese small-goods manufacturing is improving all the time. “Main Brand” goods like Logitech peripherals or Dewalt tools tend to have clearly superior design, fit, finish, design, and function, but they tend to cost three or four times what you pay for a no-brand import. I’ve always believed in avoiding bargain-bin tools, since you tend to get such crummy performance compared to better-made and more expensive varieties. HOWEVER, China is maintaining the low prices, but their product quality is moving into the realm of being an equal or better value (what you get vs. what you pay) than the better-made tool. This should scare the Big Brands, because they’re going to start losing their market share!These magnifiers are a good example. I’m just picking up a new hobby and thought some magnifiers would be helpful. These appeared interesting, and the price wasn’t too high, so I figured I’d take a risk knowing they would be a “cheap import” tool, try them out, and if I wanted to upgrade later, I’d have an idea of what I liked, didn’t like etc.The electronics for the LED lamp are nicely executed with an easy-to-access power button with two brightness settings and a cleverly-placed charging port for the internal rechargeable battery (no AA or AAAs needed, USB cable included!). the plastic parts don’t have any mold lines or sprue remnants. They included a feature where the arms can be swapped out for an elastic headband, if you prefer that. Hinges, pivots, and detents all work well without any fuss or catches. The FIVE lenses come in a surprisingly nice clamshell case, and they even included a lint-free cloth! The packaging is super cheap cardboard and plastic material, but even that is being improved with a little extra engineering design; the cheap packaging doesn’t matter to me in the long run since it gets discarded anyway! The “English” instructions are still a little oddly worded, but who reads instructions anyway ;)There are a few things that I would prefer different, like the feel of the pad on my forehead, or the loose hinges that don’t hold the arms in place when you’re not wearing them, these are pretty easy to tweak and modify myself to improve their function, and I otherwise think these are going to work well for me for quite some time!I’m more than satisfied with what I got!

Review: Si te gusta pintar por número y/o trabajar con piezas pequeñas, es una gran opción. Cuidar la vista es muy importante y con esta lupa con iluminación se logra perfectamente. Vienen con 4 tipos de aumento, un soporte adicional para la cabeza y una pequeña luz que se puede inclinar en diferentes posiciones. Muy práctica!

Review: I have been using these glasses for several months now and I am so pleased with them. I like the fact that the light has options to adjust the brightness (2 settings) as well as the angle of the light. One is also able to adjust and set the desired position of the magnifying lense, which is key as everyone’s requirements are different. Wearing the glasses is very comfortable, so much so I haven’t even tried the headband option yet. Great for needlework, reading, or any other hobby where magnification is required; even at night without any other source of lights. I have recommended these glasses to family and friends and I am sorry I didn’t purchase these sooner. Great product and a wonderful gift idea.
