Title: Lots of hissing in the background
Review: Yeah, I can get them to work and they do amplify, but they are not Hearing Aids by any means. They are simply amplifiers, and unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to remove the background hissing and static that was there at the setting I needed to hear anything. For that reason, the resulting noise was just too distracting for me, and I’m going to pass on using these.

Title: Definitely amplified voices.
Review: Hearing Aids for Seniors, Rechargeable Hearing Amplifier to Aid and Assist Hearing. I’ve never worn a hearing aid before, but I do have a bit of a hearing loss that makes it difficult for me to always understand speech, especially in a noisy room. This hearing aid definitely boosted the sound of voices, so that I could hear them more easily. Since I have nothing to compare it to, I don’t know if this is how all hearing aids work, but it also amplifies every other sound, though I still can pick out the voices more easily. It’s like there’s a small layer of ambient noise blowing in your ear, but with amplified voices. I guess I just assumed things would be more clear. Again, I have nothing to compare it to. I like that it charges by USB. I like that it has multiple ear bud sizes. It feels comfortable in my ear, and didn’t fall out when I shook my head. I will point out that you want to turn it on/adjust volume AFTER it’s firmly in your ear. If you do it any other way, with the volume over 2, you’ll get an ear-shattering whine. It’s wind currents being picked up by the very sensitive mic. It did not do it once it was in my ear. I’d call this an affordable entry into hearing aid use.

Title: Not Hearing to Much
Review: I was looking for some hearing aids for my father because he has been hard of hearing lately and I was hoping to help him. While browsing Amazon one day for health products a suggestion displayed for these elderly hearing aids so I decided to order them. It took for ever to arrive more than a month and when they finally showed up we could not get them to work properly. The problem with this hearing aid set is that its old technology and very bulky and cumbersome. We went though all the instructions, but couldn’t hear much of a difference and was mostly static.

Title: A single unit not a pair
Review: So first you get a single unit and not a a pair for your 2 ears. Once you get past that then maybe you will be ok if only one ear is failing. It is not bad for comfort. Hangs off the ear. Not great of listening as it can be hit or miss with the static or something. It does help hear better though so it is better than nothing.

Title: I can hear TV speech better, but annoying side issues
Review: I can hear and understand voices better on TV. There are annoying side issues that detract. One problem is I get occasional loud beeps for no apparent reason. I also get beeps if I move my hand or arm close to the device or just move my head so the device comes close to a head rest on the sofa. The beeps are loud enough that my wife sitting close by hears it. The sounds that are amplified the best are mechanical sounds, the microwave clicking shut, a door hinge squeaking, the turn signal in my car clicking. The mechanical sound amplification made me jump, it’s startling. It’s better than the previous over-the-counter aid I tried that instead of suppressing ambient noise, amplified it and I could not wear it while driving.
