Title: Accurate and consistent readings across base and all sensors.
Review: Bought this set, (base with 3 sensors) a few months ago. Setup and pairing was a no-brainer. Once completed, I initially placed the base and sensors together right next to my home thermostat for the first day to check performance. I was really impressed, surprised even, by how accurate and consistent the readings were across all devices. Humidity readings were within 2% of each other, and temp readings within 0.4 degrees. I use the included USB cable for the base’s power, and batteries just for the remote sensors. If I think of it, I may pop in later to report how long the batteries last, but for now it’s at least +3 months with Duracells.As of Dec. ‘24, price/performance/function is excellent. The only “con” I’ve observed is the base’s display backlighting. It has hi/low/off settings, but the display is too dark, virtually unreadable in the off position, even in daytime, but the low setting is sufficient for both day/night visibility. Not an issue if running on USB power, but may be a draining issue for those using batteries to power their base unit.I was impressed enough that I just ordered another identical set to monitor my garage, attics and crawl space too, and thought I’d drop a quick review in the process.

Title: Works well, and rtl_433 compatible.
Review: This is an inexpensive weather station, so I set my expectations accordingly, but after having a chance to use it, it’s a pretty decent value for the price. Everything seems well built and feels solid. The display is clear, intuitive, and it’s easy to read all four temperatures from a distance. It also has some nice features, like the ability to set alarms based on temperature or humidity. It can be powered by three AAA batteries, or by an included USB cable. One small issue here: there’s no USB power supply included. Not a big deal if you’re like me and have a collected a bunch from the days when every new phone came with one, but worth considering if you’re planning on powering it that way.Somewhat more annoying is the screen space taken up by the “comfort indicator.” Each of the four temperatures on the display has a small icon that shows a neutral face if humidity is below 40%, a happy face from 40-70%, and a sad face above 70%. I live in a dry area, and I generally prefer low humidity, so I’ll probably be seeing a lot of that neutral face, even on pleasant days. Being able to customize the 40% and 70% cutoffs would have made this feature more helpful.The sensors take two AA batteries each, and are designed so they can be hung from a string, a hook, a nail, or adhesive strips. They’re labeled with a default channel, but a three-position switch in the battery compartment allows changing the channel they transmit on, if desired. There’s also a button there that allows you to transmit data instantly, rather than waiting up to 33 seconds for a scheduled update. I imagine this would be helpful in trying to position sensors or verify if batteries are good. The range seems decent; all three sensors communicate with the display no matter where they are in my home, even with several walls in between, always showing full bars on the display. The reported temperature and humidity values seem reasonably accurate, and agree well with each other, as well as with other humidity/temperature sensors I have. The sensors update at a pretty decent clip: they transmit every 31 seconds on channel 1, every 32 seconds on channel 2, and every 33 seconds on channel 3.I was also pleased to learn that the sensors are readily decoded by rtl_433. They transmit around 434 MHz, and are decoded as Oregon-THGR810 sensors. This makes it possible to log the sensor data, create a second display unit, monitor temperature remotely, or even tie things in with home automation. Interestingly, while the sensors will happily report a humidity level below 20%, the display won’t: it is currently displaying 20% for all three of my sensors, which are reporting 12%, 18%, and 18% in rtl_433. These sensors are likely not accurate below 20%, hence the limit, but it’s nice to be able to look at the raw data. I plan to use one to monitor a dry box for 3D printing filament, so it’s handy to be able to at least see humidity trends, even if the number itself may not be on the nose.

Title: Everthing is good.
Review: I had a no brand three sensor thermometer for years that worked well until one of the sensors died. I got a new one here and sent it back because the base unit screen was unreadable. This one is great! I made sure it had USB power so the screen would be legible. Easy to set up. All four readings were exactly the same! The humidity numbers are slightly smaller than the temperature numbers and the indoor temp is within that little house all of which makes the screen a little less chaotic. The base unit is a good size, not too big. I should subtract a star for not including a 110v adaptor for the USB but at this price it gets five stars. Very happy with it.

Title: Worked as advertised and super simple setup
Review: Everything works great, super simple to set up. Just put batteries and everything and turn it on and you’re ready to go. All three sensors read within .2 degrees of each other which is amazing considering the low cost of this item. The temperature readings seem pretty accurate compared to a few other items I have that read temperatures such as my Nest thermostat and my temperature gun. The indoor temperature is also very accurate compared to my thermostat. The humidity readings seem accurate compared to the weather app on my phone and my Nest thermostat in the house. Since I use my garage for food storage I have one of the sensors out there and it has no problem with signal with the main unit which is about 30 ft away through a steel door and a interior wall. One of the sensors is in my backyard and the other is on my front porch and they also have no problem with signal connection. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the off-axis viewing angle of the display is not good. I have it on a shelf and if I’m sitting on my couch which is about 2 ft lower than the shelf which is about 6 ft away it’s almost impossible to read the display as it’s very washed out at that angle. But the display is bright on its brightest setting and still readable on the lower setting. The fact that it plugs in to any USB power source is very convenient also. The display is easily readable from 10 to 15 ft away as long as you’re not at too much of an angle. Overall I’m pretty happy with this for the price I paid. It’s just a simple temperature/humidity sensor which is all I really wanted. The little arrows showing the trims are there, but I don’t use them or even pay attention to them so I really can’t comment on those. If you’re looking for something simple like this that just works and is priced very well, I would recommend it to anyone.

Review: Der Begriff Wetterstation ist vielleicht etwas hochgegriffen, es handelt sich eher um eine schlichte Anzeige von Temperatur und Luftfeuchte. Doch damit entspricht es genau meinen Anforderungen, um diese Werte an mehreren Stellen im Wohnmobil zu kontrollieren. Und mit den 3 externen Sensoren sind alle kritischen Bereiche erfasst.Das Einrichten ist sehr einfach, nur Batterien einlegen und starten, das war’s schon. Alle Sensoren funktionieren zuverlässig und ausreichend genau. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit.

Review: We purchased this weather station to assist in keeping track of temperatures for various areas in and around our property.We like that we can see at a glance what the temperature is in our coldroom, basement and outside without having to go to those areas to check.The outside monitor we made sure was protected from the elements. It has worked well with lithium batteries even during our coldest temperatures.Quality is excellent.Would highly recommend.

Review: Gerät ist schnell und unkompliziert zu bedienen. Allerdings hat der Sensor für Außen ab und an Aussetzer, wenn es in Richtung 0 Grad oder kälter geht und wenn es zu feucht draußen ist. Norden sich aber dann wieder ein. Alles in allem ein gutes Gerät und ein gutes Preis – Leistungsverhältnis. Empfehle ich weiter.
