Title: Considerations for Lefties and Seniors
Review: My 80 year old mother loves to read and cook. We have macular degeneration in the family, as well as normal aging eyes. One day I saw mom with her standard magnifying glass straining to see her cookbook. Going slowly down the row, row by row with a 5″ wide magnifying glass. This necessarily does not give her the full picture and takes a lifetime to read a recipe. I set out to try a few magnifying glasses and other eye aids to increase her quality of life by making daily tasks easier. This was one of the products that has succeeded in doing so.Pros – (1) excellent magnification of whole page. Mom no longer reads in bits, but has a sense of the total picture; (2) featherlight; and (3) The light is a luxury. For example, the timer didn’t go off on Christmas tree the other night. She couldn’t have seen the timer to adjust without a flashlight and magnifying glass. This device provided two in one with the light settings. The different types of light are lost on Mom for the time being, but she appreciates the varying power strengths.I’ve not seen Mom so excited by anything in years which was a pleasant surprise. She was floored such an item existed.Cons – as noted in video, it’s not ideal for a left-handed user. If I used how it felt most comfortable, I could not use the light feature as they’re be shining in my eyes and not at the object. Hoping by mentioning here, a leftie will consider before buying as I did not until it was in my hand. Lefties can still use, just a bit awkward…like most objects in a right handed world!

Title: For the Price, Not a Bad Deal
Review: As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to a conclusion – print is getting much smaller than it used to be. Either that, or my eyes are getting worse.Turns out, my first thought was right and that was proven when my local newspaper cut their overall size by 25% and the font sizing by roughly the same.No matter the excuse, I do need a magnifier on occasion and decided to get this one because it does have a rechargeable light (many require batteries). And it’s a good thing I got this because, as you might have guessed, the instructions for this thing contain small print. This is, essentially, a plastic framed vinyl lens with the main area being 5x and a much smaller area housing the 10x lens.In addition, you have a ring of adjustable LEDs that can go from warm to white light and areas in between. I do like the rotary wheel that adjusts the brightness level. As one reviewer stated previously, there is an unusual entry in the instructions that states not to leave the charger plugged in past full capacity. I find that rather odd and disturbing. Is my house going to burn down? Is this going to melt?On that topic, the instructions I received stated the charging was done when the charging indicator light turned yellow. Mine turned green. No big deal. Also, it’s nice you get a cleaning cloth but be careful using it. Vinyl magnifiers have grooves cut in them and if you clean in the wrong direction you’ll scratch it up in no time.Otherwise, it’s a capable, sheet-sized magnifier with decent lens quality (there will always be aberrations in vinyl) and for the sub $10 price (if the 40% coupon is still available) I can hardly complain.

Title: Helps Reduce Eye Strain
Review: I ordered this rechargeable magnifying glass for my father. I like that it has adjustable brightness because I find that the proper lighting reduces eye strain. The magnifier is easy to use and comfortable to hold. It’s lightweight and works well without distortion. I’m pleased with the quality of this magnifier, but most of all, my father is pleased as well.

Title: Description Misleading
Review: Very cheaply made, magnifying plastic seems to distort more than magnify. Light does work well but that’s it’s.

Title: Attached handle, even magnification over a large area
Review: I’ve tried two kinds of large magnifying readers, one with a ratcheted hinged handle, and this one, with an attached handle. The advantage of the attached handle is that it gives more leverage and a comfortable hand position for holding the magnifier with the longer direction vertical over the page. It is heavier than the hinged one I tried, though, but thankfully the weight is all in the handle so it’s not as bad.The magnifier is so large, with a fresnel lens that keeps the magnification pretty even across it, that I didn’t feel like I needed the lights, but the LED lighting is really good and easy to turn on, with either white, yellow, or combined colors. There is also a higher magnification circle to look closely and smaller things. This seems like a sturdy, very useful magnifier, for people who prefer the sturdy grip of this design, and holding the magnifier with the long dimension more easily vertical rather than horizontal.

Title: Better Than I Imagined!!!
Review: This is perfect in every way. The handle along the length provides a secure grip, and makes it easier to focus it where I want. And, the extra smaller loop like magnifying glass makes reading micro printing a breeze. I also like that it comes with a charging cable for the rechargeable batteries. It never occurred to me what a difference, different color temperature lights can make. Consequently, having three different color temps is an amazing plus. It also has a wheel to adjust the brightness. I cannot imagine what more anyone would want. This is perfect.

Title: Not quite 5X or 10X, but great lighting!
Review: The magnification was more like 2.5X or 3X, NOT 5X! The smaller magnifyer was more like 5X or 6X, but NOT 10X! The lighting was very good. My wife and I need more magnification than this provides for the large lens! The smaller lens is too small for our needs!

Title: Works Well
Review: This large magnifying glass works very well. Comes with a charging cord so you don’t have to worry about batteries. You are able to change the lighting from soft to bright. Very lightweight so it is not difficult to use for long periods. It took me a minute to find that the lightswitch is on the handle. I love diamond painting and am starting to have trouble seeing the numbers or reading small print. This is working well as it is easy to use, lightweight and sturdy. I feel this was a great purchase and would recommend.
