Title: Can’t open or close the chest
Review: I finished building the entire chest which took an hour then when I almost finish the hinges come apart and wouldn’t screw in , the screws would not hold , now I can not open or close the chest , this is horrible and I spent a lot of money on it ! But the great part is that the seller read my concern and wanted to make things right . He responded right away . Thank you for helping me with this problem

Title: Great customer service after it broke
Review: Update: Sturdis sent me a replacement part, and the box is back in business. They were very responsive and attentive!I’ve had this toybox for less than a year, and now one of the screws in the hinges has pulled out of the particleboard, making it’s whole lid unusable. Enjoyed it a lot until then.

Title: Assembly instructions were clear, looks great
Review: Assembly wasn’t difficult but it can be time consuming. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only part I had trouble with was installing the safety hinge – it was hard to tell which way is the correct orientation.The product itself looks cute, feels pretty sturdy, the seat cushion is adequately padded – wouldn’t say it’s the best. Our safety hinge hasn’t failed like others have said but we haven’t opened it too many times. My only complaint is with the edges of the panels – they are straight edges with a sharpe corner. I feel they could have done a better job for a children furniture. We had to add edge protector on it.

Title: such a cute chest!
Review: We are very happy with this toy chest!! It matches our star- themed nursery so nicely and was easy to assemble, comparable to ikea furniture. It was shipped in 2 boxes to prevent any damage to the pieces. Directions for assembly were all visual, easy to follow, and all pieces are numbered to follow directions without question. Took me under an hour to put it together. The pieces are solid. Feels very sturdy and good for a couple adults to sit on.I love that this chest has the 2 cubbies at the bottom. The chest itself is spacious and has decent depth.I’m not sure what the 1-star review here is referring to. I took it into consideration but the lid of the chest actually does not close rapidly or strongly. It is very safe for children and I appreciate that the seat cushion hides any sharp edges. I’m unsure how anyone could have been injured a finger on closing the box unless they missed installing something or slammed it closed.
