Title: Great Book
Review: I have watched SNL pretty religiously since the beginning, so reading this book is a combination of nostalgia, reading tales about old friends, and learning lots of new things about a show you thought you knew a lot about. There is so much about the relationships between cast members, the inner-workings of making the show each week, and a look into the formation of Lorne Michaels and his empire. it was a great read!

Title: Deeply Researched and Beautifully Written
Review: Lorne will be in print for the next 50 years. A monumental achievement by the author, Susan Morrison. U.S. cultural history from 1975 through 2025 would be impossible to fully appreciate without reading this book.

Review: I enjoyed the book about a brilliant, likeable funny Lorne Michaels but the author could have been less encyclopedic. Michaels is well worth getting to know in print. He is a showman who instinctively spots talent. In reality, he was also kind of lucky as comedians like Chevy Chase, Baluchi, Akyroyd etc were drawn to SNL because or Lorne. SNL made many comedians famous and the great years were the best….as I discovered by passing up the first 200 pages!
