Title: Very useful light but the “UV” feature is useless
Review: I am rating his 4 since the main features and magnification work well. However, the “UV” light is useless as compared with a true UV flashlight. My tests on anti-theft features of currency using both a true UV spectrum light as well as this light yielded that this light did not detect features as a true UV spectrum light would. That being said, the rest of the light works perfectly. The only other drawback is the power switch… one must be careful not to switch it to the UV setting and not realize they missed the “OFF” in the center and, hence, end up leaving the power on. Since I found the UV feature useless, I glued a little plastic piece at the bottom of the switch channel to prevent it sliding past the true off position. I will likely disassemble this and replace the “UV” lamp with a pure white LED in the future to be able to make use of the related higher power magnifying glass in the handle.
