The Sam’s Club Bakery Item Fans ‘Missed So Much’ Is Finally Back

Sam’s Club knows how to throw a party. From sushi platters to colossal cupcakes, the members-only retailer keeps its shelves filled with a variety of goodies to fit any occasion. 

One perk of shopping at Sam’s is that while it maintains a large stock of mealtime staples, members can look forward to new items landing in stores monthly including café treats, exclusive chip flavors, and specialty desserts. 

Last week, Sam’s Club announced on social media that one of its beloved bakery items is returning, and fans are already lining up to place orders. 

Sam’s Club Cookie Cake Returns

In a recent Instagram post, Sam’s Club confirmed that cookie cakes will return just in time for Valentine’s Day. The retailer posted a video featuring the extra-large cookie writing in the caption: “Cookie cake is back. That’s it. That’s the post.” 

The party-worthy dessert includes two decadent chocolate chip cookie slabs with a layer of fluffy frosting sandwiched in between. Stores will have premade cookie cakes in stock but you can also request customization to fit your event. Many shoppers say that the cakes were a staple for special occasions and expressed excitement to have them back. “My kids will be so happy!! Birthdays haven’t been the same without your cookie cakes,” said one Instagrammer. “Best news of 2025! How soon @samsclub? We have birthdays coming up!” wrote another.

Despite the post stating the cookie cakes hit store shelves on Feb. 1, some members have had trouble finding the mega-sized treat in stock. “I called my local club to order for the Super Bowl and she told me they hadn’t officially heard word they could serve them yet,” wrote one user. “But when? I called my local Sam’s and they aren’t aware,” added another. As with any new release, the rollout can be slow so if your store doesn’t yet have it, call or check back in next week.
