Title: LISTEN UP…THESE ARE WORTH IT!!!
Review: UPDATE 2/26/25STILL 5 STARSThese hearing aides are so worth it. I finally changed my wax filters and ear pieces FOR THE FIRST TIME. The receivers were CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. I finally after 3 months had a muffled sound and realized I had not changed out my earpiece or filter. Such a good product that the sound quality stood up to my wax level, and daily wear. CHANGE YOUR FILTERS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. I got lazy to be honest…but the sound quality of these aides is excellent.I did finally submit my hearing test that I did at an ENT physician hearing test from Jan 2024, I submitted this via scan and email and my hearing aides were fully dialed in at that time. That adjustment was done in December.I have worn hearing aides for 42 of my 47 years on this earth. I have bought many…many pairs of hearing aides, amplifiers, headphones, and bluetooth devices. I have bought hearing aides over the internet, gone to a hearing aide seller, and also been to an ear nose and throat doctor. THESE ARE THE EASIEST, MOST CONVENIENT, BEST VALUE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. For reference my hearing level is severe, so I only hear at about 35-40% in both ears.My last hearing aide purchase was in 2020, through a hearing aide vendor. I spend $4000 for a pair of rechargeable fairly well respected aides…that wore out their charge in only 3.5 years. hence why I bought these.Jabra is a well known bluetooth and headset company. I was skeptical about hearing aides since the FDA deregulated and you can get them easier. I was skeptical about the price and the quality. I was skeptical if they would work with my hearing level and if I’d need to go get a physical hearing test.ALL OF MY SKEPTICISM IS GONE.The hearing aides come fully charged. The case is not fully charged but does not take long at all to charge. The case holds DAYS of charge. I wear hearing aides for 16-18 hours a day. The fact that my case is charging my hearing aides without them plugged into the wall IS A HUGE CONVENIENCE. The case also has a mag seal so the aides are well protected. THE CASE IS NOT WATERPROOF (which would be nice but it’s not a dealbreaker.)The recommendation is to download the app and take the hearing test on the app. Not everyone has noise cancelling headphones and this will determine how the hearing aides are programmed. If you have a physical printout of a hearing test you can scan this and email it to the audiologist as well and they will adjust the hearing aide remotely. I highly recommend an in person hearing test via an ear nose and throat physician or audiologist if you have never had one. If you have not had a recent hearing test but have had one in the last 2 years you may be able to suffice using the hearing test on the app.I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW AMAZING IT IS TO HAVE AN AUDIOLOGIST UPDATE YOUR HEARING AIDES. Most hole in the wall mall plaza hearing aide shops have a “hearing specialist” that is not an audiologist…they follow prompts and use computer programs and most people have to go back and forth for their hearing aides to be adjusted.I had planned to send my last hearing test but didn’t have the time so I took the app hearing test. I got a new program dowloaded to my aides within 12 hours to an improvement in sound quality. Then I worked and lived life for a week to get an idea of what further sound adjustments I’d need. I sent another request via the Jabra App to the audiologist. The Jabra program and audiologist support is so fast and so responsive I was blown away. My second adjustment came within 72 hours. The videos and orientation that come with the hearing aides is clear and concise. I have a 3 year warranty and audiologist support which is SO IMPORTANT.These are such a good value and a good product. I will update in 3 months.

Title: Borderline Perfect!
Review: Like millions of other people, I was in denial about my hearing loss for much of my adult life. High-frequency sound has eluded me for years. Come to find out, much mid-frequency stuff as well. While I could have held on to my “selective hearing loss” (according to my wife) forever, I finally took the OTC hearing aid route. I am glad that I did.As a long time Apple product user, I first took the route of investing in the new AirPods with the hearing aid function. They work pretty darn well, and their software can administer a diagnostic hearing test, very nearly as accurate as one would get from a clinical audiologist examination. The results of the test set up a profile that makes them work as true hearing aids. Not being someone who has been used to wearing bright white, shiny, fully visible devices sticking out of my ears though, convinced me to relegate them to occasional use (great for noise cancelling when using power equipment, but geeky looking)With doctor-prescribed hearing aids coming in at two to three times as much, these $1700 devices are a real bargain. For that price, you get not only the hearing aids themselves, but also the storage/recharging case, lots of maintenance items, loss/damage insurance and a consultation via Zoom with a certified audiologist. There is also a 100 day no-questions-asked return policy.I’ve gone from doubting that I even needed them to daily usage, all day every day. They hold a charge for up to 18 hours. They’re incredibly tiny and discreet. Their comfort is impressive, I am an eyeglass wearer, and there is no conflict whatsoever. They each will emit a short series of tones when first taken out of their charging case, making it easy to ensure that they are actually going into your ear canals properly. The four pre-set listening modes are easy to switch between, either from the phone app or on the devices themselves. You can even answer your phone by “double tapping” the top of your ear!I highly recommend them
