The Girl That Makes Mistakes by USA Today bestselling author Eevi Jones challenges deep-rooted beliefs about confidence and being ourselves.
I’m the girl that makes mistakes,
mistakes that lead to growth.
I’m the girl that wins AND fails,
for reaching dreams requires both.
It’s not how much confidence we have, but how much confidence we gain along the way, growing with every single challenge we are brave enough to take on.
Life isn’t about FINDING ourselves. We have much more control over our lives than that! Life is about CREATING ourselves. One sunrise at a time.
And the steps along the way…

Title: Positive and Powerful message
Review: I loved the the powerful and positive message of trying new things and not being afraid of failure. Children and young adults need books like this to help them along the way… growing up is hard. “Confidence is not the goal. It’s what grows and blossoms along the way.” I love this because we don’t always feel confident but we can take those little steps, grow and even sometimes blossom! This would be great for girls who are starting a new school, hobby or need a little boost of confidence!I recommend this story!

Title: Courage comes with practice
Review: I got this for my 11 year old niece, who is going through a period of self-definition; one outside of her immediate family. I hope it helps her accept that trying and sometimes failing are essential to the process of becoming what she is capable of becoming.

Title: Very Inspirational!
Review: This is such a wonderful book! I like how the author includes faces of different girls to demonstrate that they are not alone in whatever they are going through. That there is someone out there who shares the same fears, setbacks, and struggles in life but with encouraging words of grit and determination they can get through it all. This is a handy book to have around when you need a reminder. The illustrations are magnificent!

Review: An empowering book for young girls who always go through changes. It is so easy to feel lost and lose sight of who we are as young girls (I am now older, but I remember!) I encourage that parents and caregivers read this book with their young daughters so they can be reassured of their worth, even when they make mistakes.

Review: This book by Eevi Jones is a simple read, but it has such powerful and uplifting messages that give the reader the proper perspective that life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, mistakes, and emotions. It’s very normal but not always easy to understand, especially when girls are young. This is life and such as life we must remember there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The author has delivered a little book that has bottled this beautiful perspective that I have no doubt will help many girls out there with just the right message they need at just the right moment! Well done, Eevi Jones! I also love the illustrations showing the faces of many different girls. Very impactful.

Review: Something I struggled with for so long in life was fear of failure and often never reaching for my dreams because of it. I finally had enough of that but had to learn the hard way. In this book, Eevi writes all about confidence and failure in such a beautiful poetic way! I bought it for my 15 year old daughter, and if you know a young woman go ahead and buy it for her. It’s more beautiful and more meaningful than a greeting card.
