Title: Perfectly Sized and Fast Setup
Review: This review is for TP-Link Tapo Apple HomeKit Smart Plug Mini, Compact Design, 15A/1800W Max, Super Easy Setup, Works with Siri, Alexa & Google Home, UL Certified, 2.4G Wi-Fi Only, White, Tapo P125(2-Pack). I waited way too long to get this mini smart plug! I had a giant Century timer that used pins to set the timer and it worked fine but it’s just not as convenient and a hassle to set up. Out of the box, it was very easy to set these guys up. I just plugged each into the outlet and opened my Tapo app to add the devices. It took me less than a minute to set up each of them and I was off and running. These devices can also be updated to run the latest software, which is great! I used these smart plugs to schedule grow lights for my monstera and sansevieria plants. They work perfectly. The lights turn on and off when my other Aerogarden lights come on. I can set these to turn on and off using my location for sunset / sunrise or set my own custom schedule. There are so many options in the Tapo app as to how I want to run them. Note: Check to make sure that the electronic device can be left in an “On” state first before purchasing these mini plugs because some devices automatically default to the “Off” state when power is cut off and remain in the “Off” state until manually turned on. These plugs will not automagically fix that issue! I have several grow lights that are always in “Off” state even when power is turned back on and they will stay “Off” until I manually turn them on with their controller or buttons. I cannot use these mini plugs or any type of automatic timer for that matter with those grow lights. Overall, these are really excellent mini smart plugs. They hardly take up any outlet space, unlike my last timer, and they are very easy to set up and operate through the Tapo app. See their video on the product page on how to set up the plugs, if it’s not clear. However, I found it to be very easy and intuitive to set up. I would give these mini smart plugs a 5.0/5.0 – 10/30/2024.

Title: Plugs that work
Review: These smart plugs have been pretty useful since I got them. They work well for my 3D printer and seedling grow lights, which is what I bought them for (I don’t even bother with those fancy hydroponic setups). Setting them up was easy enough, though the app took a bit of fiddling around to get working properly. It does have some cool features though, like energy monitoring and scheduling. One time it showed me that my printer was using way more power than usual – turns out I had left it on all night by mistake! (I’m too busy thinking about new designs to worry about turning things off sometimes).The plugs themselves are small enough to fit into most outlets without any issues, and they have a nice clean look. The fact that they can be controlled with Alexa is a bonus – I don’t even need to get up from my desk to turn on the grow lights now. They’re pretty decent overall, though sometimes they take a while to respond to commands. Still, for the price, you really can’t complain too much.

Title: Easy Setup and Stable
Review: I originally purchased another brand because they specifically advertised a sunrise/sunset programming function; when that one didn’t do what it was supposed to do I returned them and purchased the Tapo plugs. These work great and each plug can be set to turn on or turn off at sunrise and at sunset; both with offsets by the hour or minute. I now have one set to turn on plant lights 30 minutes after sunrise, and another set to turn on patio lights 45 minutes before sunset, for example. Both (that I’m using so far) were easy to set up in about 3 minutes each and the Tapo app is pretty much the same as every smart home app; it’s easy to organize devices and even easier to set up schedules or to manually control devices. I’ve had trouble in the past with smart plugs that couldn’t handle much amperage; these can handle a full 15 amps while most cannot. At about $5 each in a four pack, these were a great value for a trusted brand. So far, the wifi connectivity has been strong and stable with my devices both within 25 feet of the router; sometimes it is necessary to add a range extender near devices such as this due to their need to be on a wall near wiring that often interferes with wifi signals. I highly recommend this product.

Title: Works great as expected
Review: I needed a better way to control my Christmas lights. After searching, these smart plugs seemed the answer. I was a little nervous since several reviewers had issues registering the smart plug, or having the plug find the WiFi, etc. etc.I had no issues! I downloaded the app to my iPhone, and plugged in the smart plug. After a bit, it appeared in the app and I was able to access it and name it something obvious for my. It downloaded the latest firmware and was good to go. I plugged in my Christmas lights into this plug, and then set the on/off schedule. You can also manually toggle power to the plugs irrespective of the schedule.I was out of town for a week around Christmas, and this was perfect to still have my Christmas lights on/off while I was away for the house to look occupied.I also plugged in a lamp into a smart plug in the bedroom, and set up a schedule for that, to appear like we were home. There is also an option to randomly power on/off the plug to appear like we were home, but I didn’t use that feature since I was handling that myself.I liked this so much I bought another 2-pak! Very easy to use and configure.One suggesting I liked was to write a name or title on each of the plugs, if you are using multiple, so you know which ones are which in the app. Great idea that worked well for me! Very happy with the purchase. One of the best products I’ve bought.

Review: Es muy practico tener contactos inteligentes. Normalmente enciendo los que requiero y apago los que no se necesitan por el momento, esto para ahorrar energía eléctrica. Los uso también para prender y apagar lamparas cuando no estoy en mi casa para que parezca que hay alguien en casa. No he explorado si tienen temporizadores, pero hay funciones que permiten administrarlos con un reloj, solo que aun no he llegado a ese punto, solo el modo manual. Faciles de configurar y practicos. Recomendados para comenzar a utilizar “Smart Things”.

Review: There are plenty of other brands out there, but I selected Tp-Link H105 because it’s the most compact version, as in it doesn’t block the other plug hole, and it comes with a great App that is full of features.The WiFi in this plug is solid, so it’s great for those times when you need to reset a remote camera, or a light, fan, TV… whatever…The scheduler option is great, specially the Dusk and Dawn function, it’s great for lights you want to auto come on at night and off during the day.but the most important thing of it all, the H105 is reliable, it always works even when your WiFi is unreliable.The Kasa App is easy to use and intuitive, unlike other IoT Apps.I’ve had these for several years, then I recently decided to add even more of these plugs because they work so well.
