Title: Amplify, But Squeal
Review: These are an adequate hearing aid for a very low price. My husband has prescription hearing aids, but is afraid of using them outside the house because he worries about losing them. He uses these when we travel or go to restaurants. They are easy to insert into the ears, comfortable to wear, and do amplify sounds. With everyone using AirPods these days, the hearing aids are discrete and just look like another phone device. Sometimes it’s difficult to use the push button controls on them and it’s not always clear if the aids are charging in their charging case. They do hold a charge well. The biggest issue is that one of them is prone to buzzing and squealing, which even I can hear when it happens. Then the aid has to be shut down and reactivated.

Title: Helps my elderly mother-in-law
Review: I ordered this for my elderly mother-in-law who has become hard of hearing in her ears. She has been resistant to wearing hearing aids, but after a couple hours with this in her ears, she forgot that she was wearing them. They do help her to hear better without everyone shouting, so I can say that they work. Our only issue is that occasionally there is a high pitched squeal from one of the inserts, similar to what you hear with microphone feedback, but it’s not a deal breaker for us.

Title: Maybe I need to try them for a few more days… UPDATE!
Review: These ‘work’ right out of the box. They’re easy to use with simple volume control and four ‘audio profiles’ to select from. The listing claims that these hearing aids have the perfect ‘equalization’ profiles for different hearing/listening environments . Of course, ‘Normal’ is default, but they can be ‘tuned’ for ‘Restaurants,’ Conversation,’ and ‘Music.’ However, these environments aren’t really the same for everyone since we each have different haring strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps, like me, my right ear hears low frequencies better, and conversely, my left ear hears the higher frequencies. Therefore, I cannot really ‘perfect’ the audio profile to match my hearing. I will say that it’s better than nothing, and it’s true that any hearing aid will take at least a few days for me to get used to them. I will drop back by here again after a few days with an update….UPDATE:1. The left ear unit in this set fully discharges within about 7 hours. Most rechargeable hearing aids will last longer, in this case, like the RIGHT one, which stays charged for almost 14 hours before I hear the ‘battery low’ beep tone.2. The frequency ability of these units seriously dampens the higher frequencies which happen to be THE MOST COMMON FREQUENCIES ASSOCIATED WITH ADULT/SENIOR HEARING LOSS.3. Setting them to the ‘Music’ listening environment seems to slightly correct the absence of the higher frequencies… SLIGHTLY!The FINAL verdict:If you are not suffering typical, senior adult hearing loss, then these might benefit in certain listening situations, (the ‘Restaurant’ profile seems to work better than not having anything at all when you are actually in a restaurant…).With the micronization technologies and advanced battery/power technologies, and of course, AUDIO technologies that are available to the common person these days, for this price, I would expect better.

Review: I purchased these for my 2 year old son who have Usher Syndrome (Deafblindness). They seem to be helping him with some of his hearing loss. I’m ecstatic about them and see where they take him.
